If Blake or another Admin person would like to let me know the details of how to become a sponsor I would be very happy to do so.

Please contact me as there seems to be no (contact us) link?

Kind Regards

Simon Westmore

You can reach Blake at blake@badweatherbikers.com

All the admin e-mails are in the Contacts link that's in the left panel of the BBS.

If you'd popped up with this a month ago I might have taken you up on your offer, but I've already got a set. Good luck though, and I'm sure Blake would love to have another sponsor on board.

Simon:

Greetings from New York City.

I'll let Blake know of your interest in sponsorship and he'll be excited to hear from you.

As you have already perhaps seen, this site has over 5,000 regisitered users and has evolved to THE place for Buell information.

Be sure to check out www.teamelves.com and see what a group of Badweb folks did when tossed a challenge.

Thanks for your interest.

Court Canfield

Anyone put these type of frame protectors to the test yet? I wrecked my XB9R last year. Besides blinker, fairing and shifter damage, there was a 4-inch gash ripped into the right side fuel tank. The insurance company saw that and called it a total loss, partially due to the cost of replacing the frame (fuel tank).

I suspect that the carbon skinners will help protect the frame from a minor slide, but won't do much for puncture protection. I do have a set for my new bike, but I think they're probably more form than function.

The free replacement policy is outstanding, Simon. Wish I hadn't bought mine already.

P.S. For mounting, you can find a couple of Ebay auctions for the double-sided 3M acrylic adhesive tape that holds much better than silicone goo. Strong as hell.

The XB's first came out in 02' Firebolt. Unless my memory is failing me, but I believe that is right.

XBR 02, XBS 03

Yep, what Firebolt said. Mine was purchased, for example, in June of '02, but is titled as an '03 model. The model year is what disqualified my purchase from the Blast promotion.

Anyways, it was just a friendly jibe. I've been forgetting my smilies lately. ; ) Better?

I did not know that. I just knew that the 9S came out in 03 and I knew that thr 9Rs came out the previous year.

I stand corrected.
