Anyone had luck fixing the following: Please let me know how if so.

1. Seat lock rattle
2. Gas seepage from front area of fuel tank fill area bezel. (near vent fitting) Vent fitting is tight. Leakage comes from bezel to tank area. Bolts seem tight enough.

Thanks for any help.

The seat lock, make sure you still have the cam/nuts to actually lock the seat, mine vibrated off and they only sell the whole lock assembly, you can't buy separate parts so I ride around with an unlocked seat (I know, I live on the edge!)

On the seepage, open the gas cap blow on the other end of the fuel vent hose in, then out, to make sure it's working (it should only flow one way).

Other than that you might want to unscrew the cover and take a look, it's hard to say what is going on.

Jose...

"mine vibrated off and they only sell the whole lock assembly, you can't buy separate parts"

Same thing happened to me. Was going to cost $$$ to have the dealer replace it. I went down to the local locksmith. He had the exact
lock. And he re-keyed it to match the ignition. The whole thing (replaced the whole lockset)cost $16!!! Same lock... absolutely identical... same company... they're not made especially for motorcycles. Find a good locksmith in your area with a large inventory. He'll have you fixed up in no time.

Mark,
1. Seat lock rattle
I've got a pretty good dealer so your results may vary. All my inside parts fell off and I lost a few. There is something on a Harley that will work. He found the nut, washers, bar, and whatever else I needed and just gave me the parts. Maybe it was a tourpac lock 'y???
