I don't seek out rain storms, but I don't run home if one's coming. I guess my reason for not avoiding them is you never know when you won't be able to avoid riding in them. I was totally freaked out the first time, somewhat more comfortable the second time, and now I don't really care one way or the other. Now the worst are when you get caught unexpecting in a Tennessee December rain shower. Hypothermia sucks! |

Do you "storm chasers" have any concern about your engine's longevity when riding in winter? Not a bit. I put 10w40 Rotella-T oil in it around the middle of October. I start the bike, and then start to suit up. By the time I'm suited up, the bike is plenty warm. |

}Judging from the last picture somebody in blue jeans is going to have a cold butt no SHE is smart enough to have long underwear! we both could have been warmer though. we got there and both went DUH why didnt we wear our carharts?! Tim, that homecoming ride was sumthin' eh? It wasn't bad, besides the huge white painted RR crossing stripes in Eagle? That SUCKED. it was fun even though i was somewhere lost without a map in bum $#@! wisconsin by myself trying to find you guys back in a monsoon, lol. when we finally met back up, i went across those markings sideways around the corner trying to catch the group. then when i went up that hill headed out of town you should have seen the cars scattering. the rear end was wiggling about a foot to each side and i just kept feeding it throttle and shifting gears! that was awesome! |

live near good ol seattle. If you are not riding when it is raining, sell your bike and get a pic of one to put in your wallet. It rains here just a bit ;) Rain in the sky means mud on the ground. Suck it up, dress for it, and go play in it |
