I was thinking of putting a pentagram on my bike. Wonder how some would take that. hehehehehe.

And before anyone pulls out the pitchforks and torches I'm only kidding.

I've got an 03 with 14,000 mi. Upon every inspection, I notice new rock punctures, but no breaks thus far and I flog the shiznit out of it. I'm very impressed with even the original. I'll switch to the upgraded belt when needed and will be glad it's even better...

Charlie,
you might want to think about just replacing the belt the next time you change tires: most of the work is done when you remove the wheel, and your belt is coming to the natural end of it's life, and at about $140 for a new belt, it is a reasonable cost for the peace of mind.

if it's not inverted (ie one point straight down)
they shouldn't take it badly at all.

Thanks for the suggestion Gent, already planned though. I put a new Diablo on the rear a few months ago and plan to replace the belt when I get all new skins...

Is there a kit/process available to use the new style belts on the old tube frames?
