Ok is their a way to find out what recalls have been done on a tuber? Also are they still doing them? I ask because I saw a Buell M2 listed in my state that he just got all of his recalls taken care of in July at no cost Thanks for any info | ||

Sticky issue that varies by dealer. Also at this point parts availability. Technically, Product Campaigns are an annoyance issue and have definite expiration dates. A Safety Campaign is a...Safety issue, and is supposed to never expire. Parts availability drags us back down to earth. I would guess that most if not all tuber recall parts are gone from the H-D system. Doesn't hurt to ask your local H-D/B stealer tho... Z | ||

Ok thanks for the info kind of what I thought but when I got a hold of a person selling a 99 M2 that just had a bunch of them taken care of recently. | ||

I think with the vin number, in any dealer they should be able to tell you the recall that have been done. Did the X1 2002 have any kind of recall? I bough the bike in Spain but it was originally from the UK, i'd like to know, before phoning a UK dealer. Thanks, | ||

Not true you can take the vin to a good HD dealer and they will tell you what has and has not been done. And they will still perform them providing they can get the part. There are 2 dealers near me that are like this | ||

My dealer caught a warranty item on my X1 last year and replaced it free of charge (shock mount). Parts might be thin, but they are out there and it's worth asking. I just got my hands on an M2 Low shock, mount, and kickstand. All still new. (FWIW, the mount and the kickstand are going to probably be unneeded as I found they are identical.) |
