I believe the S1 prototype had the kickstand mounted off the primary, where the two 5/16" screws are.
Maybe Brankin will chime in.

You will find that this was a METRIC BIKE SIDE STAND "IMPROVISED" to fit ...

Remember it being discussed some years back ...

There was a mount on ebay for this, but I had understood that the primary cover was prone to leakage and breaking with the set up that was tried years ago.... Check with American Sportbike they may have some or some info also....

I have done this. After seeing a proto type in 1995 I decided that my rear triangles are going away. then it took a while to figure out what they did in the picture on the cover of magazine. a 1996 cbr 900 rr side stand was .used. It tucks up nicely under the primary. Required some reworking.

Don't the XBs use a side stand bolted to the primary? I'm sure you could make one of them work as well.

Couple questions on your bike
Did you use a m2 rear brake hose or S1?
What foot brake lever is that?
And which derby cover?
I think i am going your route with the kick stand!

S1, the bake line is a goodrich steel braided line.
The shift and brake levers are stock with a few holes drilled for looks.
Derby cover is a HD and I drilled holes around circumference.

I cut my passenger peg mounts off some years back and am having no problem with the stock kickstand. Here's a pic of the other side...minus passenger peg mount

Very nice!
I am converting from a steel s1 swingarm to a 2000 m2 aluminum so that is where that question came from i do not know which line to order lol.
I would have thought the derby would leak with holes?
I left a little more pipe on my rear triangle and had a friend machine some polished alum spikes that insert in them. Pretty cool they r so precise that i need to freeze them amd heat the tubes up then they will fit in once they come back to room temp they are permanant!

The seal for the derby cover resides in the center area...holes are to the outside of the sealed area. Sounds like you have your kickstand under control!

Buellish is correct. It just plain didn't work on the S1. The cyclical loading and unloading (bike on and off the sidestand) caused the primary gaskets to disintegrate and leak Sport Trans Fluid. Of course, that was with the old paper gaskets...

However, I'd still advise against mounting any sidestand on any Buell primary cover...

FYI- For anyone that hasn't done the research, the XB sidestand mounts to the underside of the engine case on a block specifically for the sidestand mount.
