Because I went for a ride today and oil splattered my leg. I already have a set of Cometic XB gaskets from when I planned on doing this conversion before, so it'd either be buying rocker covers or gaskets for the stock ones, and I'd rather only do this job once. |

Anybody have the P/N for the black Front rocker cover from the Uly XT police edition? I am going to get 2 front covers for clearance since Priscilla is an S2. |

Ross, when I built my buddies S1, I used black wrinkle paint on the XB rocker covers. Rustolium if memory serves. It looks great and after 3 years still looks like new. HD has 2 different kinds that also work well. One is more textured than the other. Brad |

Thanks Brad. Normally that's what I'd do too, but since I'm buying these new anyway, I figured I'd get the black ones. I use a pressure washer once a week and it kills the finish on the stuff I paint myself. |

I think I still have a box in the garage with a PN on it. I'll dig and see if I can find it Worst case, if wherever you're ordering from has parts lookup, have them check for an '09 or '10 Ulysses. I ordered mine from the list for an '09 XP and they look great. Polished lower rockerbox/plate in between black thunderstorm heads and a black rockerbox cover...verrrry niiiice. And, 2 fronts did the trick for rear cylinder PCV clearance to the tank. |

I like the sound of black ones, I still have the 3-part ones, but I painted the middle one black when I replaced the gaskets. Oh I also got some polished top pieces for a Sportster, turns out I don't like the polished. I was thinking about either painting them, or bead-blasting the polish off. |
