1998 S-1W. Need fork seals. Is there a p/n for them where I can find another bike that uses the same ones? Or where do I get new seals? |

You could try the dealer. A lot of the Buell parts are still available. American Sports bike has parts, Race Tech, and maybe Works Performance directly since they're WP shocks. |

Michelangelo, they are WP 41mm inverted forks. They should be the same as any other WP 41mm fork seal. If you don't have any luck with your dealership, then this route may be helpful. WP is not Works Performance. The company was founded by Wim Peters. For some reason, I recall the company's initials meaning something else, but I could not confirm this. Oh, here it is from their website:
quote:WP shock absorbers can still easily be recognised by the white springs. The white springs also introduced the original brand name of "White Power" which we are not using actively in the market anymore since 1991.

Oops! I guess that's the reason Works Performance didn't have any parts listed! But American Sport Bike and Race Tech do list seals for the S1 "WP" shock. Hi Eric, I have my dust seals and I'm putting them in tonight! Sh*t - I have to return that book to you! No hurry on the book, unless you are done with it. If so, I have some more that you are welcome to borrow. |
