I don't want to hijack the valvetrain noise thread with my questions on the topic - so they're all here! Ok so apparently Buells starting either in 2001 or 2002 (someone verify?) all have the same tolerances for the cams and bushings, but older bikes' cams are individually matched to the tolerances of it's specific bushings? Is it possible to install the current Buell PN# cam bushings into a pre-2001/2 case and have the same options as a later model? Or is there something different in the case (and cam cover?) machining as well I'm just curious on all this.. won't be changing cams for a while, but I have both a '00 and '02 X1 so this is probably good information to have in case I get the urge or need to do any parts swapping in the future. |
