Can anyone here explain to me why the tuber swingarms are offset to the center of the mount's bolt holes?

Here is what I'm talking about...

Is the engine in a Tuber slightly offset to the right some? It would seem to me like your alignment would be off, with the wheel off to the left of the center of the engine when mounted.

Anybody have any ideas?

The mounting holes on the engine are off set.

The engine mounting holes are, as BF noted, not necessarily on the bike centerline.

Also, with wider tires, more engine offset is required for belt/tire clearance.

Well, lets see now, the clutch/primary casting of the cases inters into this if you look at the rear of the cases ...

Hope you are up-dating the ISOLATORS ???

"Is the engine in a Tuber slightly offset to the right some?"

Yes, it is.

Compared to the same year Sportsters, tubers had their XL engines offset to the right so the belt drive would have enough clearance for a wider rear tire. The engine fits better offset to the right anyway because of the bulbous primary and clutch cover on the left.
