Bigsherm9r, awsome! what'd ya use to remove the frame coating? (aircraft paint stripper?)
Are you planning on polishing or chroming the wheels?
How about the engine and transmission?
Still way cool as is!!!!!!!!

Grim-

I used a flapdisk (not a flapwheel) which is a disk with little squares of sandpaper on the face, instead of on the edge like a flapwheel(you probably know the difference already), on a handheld grinder to remove the finish on the frame & swingarm. Then good old elbow grease and sandpaper, in ever-finer grits for the smoothing, then the same grinder with a cloth polishing wheel and rouge for the big finish. It has gotten noticeably better since then with numerous attacks of Mother's polish, though.

Upkeep really isn't bad, I guess it depends upon how often you rubbed your bike before you polished it for your frame of reference, huh?

Any more questions, let 'em fly. I also have a post in the links section about polishing stuff for other people.

As for making anything else shinier, I don't plan on it, maybe if I had my every wish, The cylinders would be black (or even orange?) with polished fin edges?

I don't know. I tend to mull over these kinds of things for months before deciding. I've been considering a full fairing and/or black paint since I removed the lower when I replaced the muffler.

Dude,
Did the one cleaning the bike on the left just give birth or something? I think I will just stick to having my wife clean my bikes!! She's hotter than any of those 3.

The sound was like a far away thunder strike, but the light shudder of the house made clear that there had happened something else.
The carefully piled up logs did hit the floor: 6 Feet high on a footprint of ten inches is NOT stable.
bike hit by logs
Well, lucky end: The bike had only to be dusted off and the logs had to be re arranged.
