They also fumbled in not finding anything on Trump. Then in getting caught. I was trying not to pile on.

Video Series Part 1 – The FISA Court and Federal Contractor Spying
CTH, 02/20/2018

We are proud to provide a unique series of high-quality production videos highlighting the core issues around ongoing investigations by HPSCI Chairman Devin Nunes, House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte and Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley.

These exclusive videos are assembled from our research and prior outlines. Much of the content you will already know; however, most people don’t. The goal is to distill our research into short high-quality ‘special report‘ type video segments that are easily digestible, and will help educate people on the importance of what is happening.

The videos are created by John Spiropoulos, a former MSM journalist and producer for Channel 7 in Washington DC (1979 – 1989), who covered the White House, major national stories and the economy.

We hope you will enjoy the content and share with those who don’t have the exhaustive amount of time necessary to keep up on the issues.

VIDEO #1 – Government spying on the Trump campaign may have begun early in 2016, perhaps sooner, by private contractors working for the FBI. The Federal Government admits it conducted illegal surveillance on American citizens through private contractors. The details are in a 99-page FISA Court memorandum ( http://www.scribd.com/doc/349542716 ) and opinion issued by Judge Rosemary Collyer:

https://youtu.be/BFrB50Cy-co

A court order released in April 2017 from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) found that the DOJ, FBI and NSA, under former President 0bama, routinely violated American privacy protections while scouring through overseas intercepts, and failed to disclose the extent of the problem until the final days before Donald Trump was elected president in 2016.

In describing the violations, the FISA court said the illegal searches conducted by the FBI under 0bama were “widespread” and created a “very serious Fourth Amendment issue.” These new discoveries come from unsealed FISA court documents dated April 26, 2017 and center around a hearing dated October 26, 2016, just days before the 2016 election, in which the FISA court apparently learned for the first time of “widespread” and illegal spying on American citizens by the DOJ and FBI under the 0bama administration.

Video Series Part 2 – Political Fraud and The FBI FISA Application
CTH, 02/20/2018

In Part 1 we outlined a historic pattern of FISA-702 surveillance abuse by President 0bama’s top officials within the DOJ and FBI. Here in Part 2 we outline how a specific application for a Title-1 surveillance warrant to the FISA court was intentionally misrepresented.

This Part 2 video report focuses on the 0bama administration’s Illegal spying of the Trump Campaign through an American named Carter Page, who was a brief volunteer on the Trump campaign. This video outlines the FISA ‘Title-1’ warrant on Mr. Page, and the House and Senate investigations of the executive branch’s misleading application to the FISA Court. Former U.S. attorney Joseph diGenova says he expects former top FBI officials to be charged criminally. WATCH:

Byron York: Devin Nunes' 10 Questions About The Trump Dossier
Byron York/Washington Examiner, Feb. 20, 2018

House Intelligence Committee chairman Devin Nunes has sent a series of questions about the Trump dossier to a number of current and former government officials. The committee did not specify to whom Nunes sent the questions, but a spokesman said the letter has gone to more than 20 recipients.

[snip]

One emerging theme in the dossier investigation is how widely information from the dossier was disseminated through the 0bama administration.

- At first, the public learned that a few people in the FBI knew about the dossier in the summer and fall of 2016.

- Then the public learned that some top officials in the Justice Department knew about the dossier in the same time period.

- And then the public learned that top officials in the State Department knew about it, too.

Now, Nunes wants to know if the extent of that knowledge went even further inside the government.

Not that big a fan of the Reverend. But I'm not going to be a slimy creep and complain about the dead or try to exploit his passing. That's the Democrat way. And as tv preachers go I don't recall him demanding a new private jet before he'd preach. ( exaggerated actions of a different guy not worthy of naming )

I lean towards the view of The Amazing Randi when it comes to "healing preachers". But if you want to induce rage, show me a psychic who exploits the bereaved and "talks" to the dead.

Rev. Graham, wasn't one of those. With the evil in this world folk picking on him probably have ulterior motives. Theft being the least sinful.

For a baptist preacher born in the deep south Billy Graham was surprisingly bipartisan. He could have been a lot worse, but that was not his vision.

I think the biggest problem people have with the NRA ("people" being liberals), is the fact that they promote RESPONSIBILITY.

Sure, they promote 2A...but you have to be a responsible owner as well. And as we all know...accountability is a four-letter word to liberals. Just like responsibility. It is a slap in the face to the pass-the-buck, not-my-fault mentality that drives the Democrat party and the liberal mindset.

I DO wish the media (Fox included) would stop using the phrasing "arming teachers". Change the phrasing to "allow teachers to arm themselves if they are qualified". I admit I made the same grammatical slip here on badweb, and it sounds like telling teachers what to do as opposed to allowing a qualified adult to protect their students.

To be fair, I did see a news piece this AM that I would call "arming teachers". It was in Ohio, and they said volunteer teachers would be trained, and have to qualify, and would then have access to guns in the school. They showed video of a man putting his thumb on a reader on a gun safe, and removing a pistol. I assume that's how they would work the system.

I'm all for discussions on how to deal with this. There's all kinds of ideas beyond taking guns away from responsible citizens. They tell us that there are far too many illegal aliens in the US to round up and deport. Do they really think they can round up all the guns? Let's, as a nation, have some discussion grounded in reality.

grounded in reality.

Whose reality?

Fact?

Or liberal interpretive reality?

I like the President's listening-sessions. I think if nothing else, it shows that rational, non-argumentative discussions need to occur in order to move in ANY direction on all of this. Attacking is no good. Yelling is no good. One of the parents in the meeting said "we can debate the politics later, we need to FIX IT first.".

Sadly, it's never an issue when people can think rationally. It's only an issue after we have had a tragedy. I like Trump's listening sessions too. In this case though, we are seeking to listen to people who are so wrapped up in emotion that rational decisions become close to impossible. Looking to the federal government is also probably not the right place to look for an answer on this. I watch kids coming out of a school daily that is just ripe for a pickup truck to haul down the sidewalk mowing kids down. The parked school buses basically form an enclose ally with hundreds of kids between the building and the buses. This will likely never be changed unless we have dead kids on the sidewalk. The reality though, is that kids dying in this sort of event is pretty much statistically zero. I'm sure not saying that nothing should be done to improve things, but repeal of the 2nd amendment over this is a non-starter. Banning the AR-15 probably would change little. I would expect similar results if a 9mm hand gun was used. The shooter could carry more ammo for a hand gun too. Class room distance doesn't really require a long gun. But we will cry that we must do SOMETHING.

Attorney For FBI Informant Presses DOJ For Leak Investigation
Victoria Toensing says leaks against client were "illegal" and "false"

Sara Carter, Feb. 22, 2018

The lawyer representing a former FBI informant demanded Wednesday that Attorney General Jeff Sessions open an investigation into unauthorized and falsified leaks to the media by “anonymous federal officials.” The informant’s lawyer said the leakers disparaged her client in an effort to silence him from providing testimony to Congress regarding his role in exposing Russia’s long-term strategy to dominate the global uranium market and how Moscow achieved its goal in 2010 of obtaining roughly 20 percent of the U.S. uranium mining industry, according to a letter delivered to the DOJ.

Victoria Toensing is the attorney for William Douglas Campbell, the FBI informant who is providing Congress with troves of documentation he gathered, saved and turned over to the FBI during the nearly six years he worked as an undercover FBI asset when he was a contractor in Russia’s nuclear and energy field. She has also asked Sessions to investigate a December 15 briefing given by “senior officials” to the Senate Judiciary and House Intelligence and Oversight committees “with the same false information that was leaked anonymously to the media and later refuted by the Justice Department,” as stated in her letter.

“The leaks were not only illegal but they were also false, intended to attack the credibility of Mr. Campbell,” said Toensing, referring to the leaks by ‘federal officials’ to the media. She attached a 38-page appendix of documentation disproving the leaks.

“As such they are libelous,” she added.

[snip]

Toensing’s said it’s Campbell’s extensive knowledge and evidence that makes him a target. In a detailed letter, she stated that the unnamed federal sources have been attempting to sully Campbell’s reputation, as well as his decades of work providing vital counterintelligence information to the U.S. government in an attempt to silence him. Toensing noted that leaks to numerous media outlets, attributed to these officials, were meant to distort the truth, discredit Campbell and render him silent.

A Feb. 6, 2018 a letter from Reps. Adam Schiff, D-CA and Elijah Cummings, D-MD to Chairmen Trey Gowdy R-SC and Devin Nunes, R-CA, stated that ‘senior officials’ who briefed the members on Dec. 15, told the House committee staff that Mr. Campbell had “serious credibility concerns.”

""we can debate the politics later, we need to FIX IT first."

Not sure how you fix it without politics. Locking up insane people used to be commonplace. But then, in the 60's, I believe, it was decided that this practice wasn't fair and the nut houses were emptied. Politics is everything. It sounds like that parent wants the solution, if you'll pardon the reference to firearms, to involve "Fire! Ready...aim...". The need to DO SOMETHING NOW has been the cause of many a poor policy decision.

On guns in schools: I think it would be a great idea for those teachers who qualify be allowed to carry. Take down the gun free zone signs and let the next wacko be in a teachers sights. But the teacher would NEED to be qualified....remember Adam Lanza's mom was a teacher.

You want to know who the kids that are the most likely problems are? Ask the School Bus Driver. Ask the teachers. Don't bother asking anyone with Principal, or Self Esteem, in their job titles.

And let's be honest. Allowing responsible citizens to protect themselves and others won't stop mass murder.

It will reduce it. But honestly, it's such a tiny problem, as cold hearted numbers go, no one will notice, and CNN certainly won't report, a 50% reduction. It's the nature of math.

I'm not being weird or mean or heartless here. Over 300 million people. Any mass murder is a tragedy. One every month or one every other won't be an obvious change.

And with the influx of "refugees" and the continued brain washing of Obedient Islam, the number of Jihad murders is going to rise to make it that even if we cut the "mentally ill kid on mood drugs" slayings by 80%, the numbers may get worse. ( mass murder by day )

Hmm....got the news on in the background while I browse badweb...P45 is threatening to pull ICE out of Cali altogether?

THIS could get interesting.

Apologies to actual citizens in Cali, but...I like the idea. Sounds a lot like what I said months ago - pull 'em out, and pull all federal funding. Cali. Chicago. Baltimore. DC...but that would be a little difficult I suppose. Let 'em live by their own self-proclaimed "enlightened" rules for a while. Let all the illegals in they want...but they have to KEEP them. See how that works out. Show us, please, how those illegal-alien-filled, gun-free zone, sanctuary cities - with feces all over the sidewalks - will really function. How's that utopia working out for you now?

Related to the school shooting- I read a jaw-dropping series of tweets from “the Last Refuge” this morning. They claim the sheriff’s department and school board have been in bed for years to reduce the number of student arrests. The goal was to improve reported statistics with the aim of obtaining additional state and federal funding for the schools. In order to keep getting this funding, the arrest statistics needed to improve every year. The result was that students were allowed to commit worse and worse crimes without being arrested in order to avoid screwing up the stats. Remember the report that cops were called to the shooter’s home 39 times yet they did nothing?

The writer claimed to have uncovered this info info in 2012-2014 while investigating the Travon Martin shooting. I have no clue to the validity of these claims, but it certainly sounds plausible and hopefully the truth will come out eventually.

The writer is Sundance, onwer of the Conservative Treehouse.

I found the CTH during Zimmerman/Martin - one of my go-to sites for fact-checkable news back then was Legal Insurrection (Prof. Jacobson's still-excellent law-focused web site), and I kept seeing articles linked from the Treehouse in various "comments" sections, so I checked them out.

And never left.

I read Sundance's tweets last night; everything he said is provably true, and was spelled out in great deal during Zimmerman/Martin. None of these revelations made the MSM back then, of course, nor will they now.

Doesn't make the news any less jaw dropping, however.
