bike fell over on shifter side. often hard to get into second gear, no problem with neutral, everything else ok.

thought the shifter might be out of alignment, i replaced it with a spare......now no problems with upshifting (maybe a little stiff), all gears, but stiff downshifting from 2nd to 1st. any thoughts on what gets bent/misaligned in a tipover?
