Pressed start, heard a 'pop', all elec died except for highbeam indicator, which glowed a very pale blue. Pulled & replaced fuses. Bike started fine, rode appx 5 min. then died - all elec, engine, blue light back on, dial needles did a full bounce (L to R). Again fiddled with the fuses, started fine. Parked, stopped, tried to restart....Go back to top ^.

Check the wiring around your handlebars and steering neck - somewhere you have a short to ground near the dimmer switch wires.

Were your high beams on when the indicator light lit up? If not, it's most likely near the switch.

Yes do what Harleyelf said, I've seen the same symptoms when the main ground wire under the flyscreen breaks.

All wires (seem) intact. Pulled 30amp out & replaced, Started fine. The Battery terminals & grounds were slightly loose (could be the problem?), tightened all and seems to be working fine. Thanks for your help.
