I just posted the breather part of this question in another area, but this might be the better place so I'm going to ask two questions at once since they're related to some extent. Where's a good place to get a state inspection sticker here in RI where you don't get your balls busted - or is that even something I should worry about? I have just bought a used 2000 M2 and this is the first time i'd even registered a bike in RI. it has a SuperTrapp - to me it sounds a little loud though I like it, and to my dad - he thinks it sounds awesome and told me to leave it on. i don't want to rejet the carb and drill out the "tamper proof" idle mixture thing if I'm going to get a ration of sh*t for it upon state inspection. Plus - if you vent the breather outside of the carb will the state inspectors cry? I'd concede running the breather back into the carb base if I have too... I just want to make sure I get everything right before I'm told I have to change things back. thanks for your time! David | ||

I've lived and ridden in RI for 9 years now, and, have never had an inspection. If you get caught, it's only a fix it ticket at that point. Frankly, I wouldn't bother, but, that's just me. It's all part of the racket that is the state of RI. Don't feed the machine! | ||

Don't know 'bout RI, but I'd look for a garage inspection place that all the Harley dudes go to. What you have done to the Buell is nada compared to most HD's. |
