Here is what I have in mind...
I can get a time share REAL cheap. A big one.(hopefully)
I'd like to invite "the families" and all, but I dunno if there will be room if all the hooligans show. I could get TWO timeshares REAL cheap, but I don't know how close, yet.
I plan to take the Cherokee/no bike. Like a meet and greet for all the curious supporters of our new-found friendships.
It will be BYO food and drink, and I'm sure there isn't much open down there this time of year.
And if this actually happens, all the C-3'ers are invited as well. It's a terrible time of year to try to do this, and if it doesn't work, we can do it later like Jan-Feb timeframe when everybody is itchin' to get out of the house.

That would be the question!
Not really sure at the moment. I WAS thinking before x-mas, but that seems not to be such a great idea, with the holiday gatherings/shopping/etc. Now I'm leaning more toward Jan 11-12(Fri/Sat). That is the second weekend after new years, and should give everyone time to settle down after the holidays.
I still have to check on a place....

You are in touch as far as I can tell.
Just keep an eye out for spontaneous travels, and post up to tag along. We aint picky. If we were, none of us would be here. One thing we do have in common, we ride for the ride, it doesn't matter where(but sometimes involves Mexican food).

that is sort of what I meant. Fri night-Sat-Sat night, and head for home Sun morning. I'll likely have to work Fri as well(hopefully not all day, though). |

To all
I have a confession. I have strayed away from the Buell fraternity and I am picking up a new plan "C" tomorrow around lunchtime and to finalize the purchase with a large plate of pasta.
It's just the long way to tell you guys that I am picking up a 2002 Ducati 998 monoposto tomorrow around 1:00 very low miles (4780) only 23 more mile than my S1W when I bought it ( It has got to mean something) for $8000.00 I will have to take it on the next group ride if you don't mind a traitor hanging around

If you do have it on the second weekend of January we may be hard press to make it. That is the weekend of the Washington DC IMS show. We are planning a big get together and drive up to northern VA and catch the train into DC for the show. We do it in one day and it has always been fun. |

Here's some more details...
(you'll get them as soon as I do!)
The place is NOT in Duck. It's just across the bridge, behind WalMart(sort of).
It's called: Barrier Island Station/Kitty Hawk.
...and I booked the place before I realized the IMS is the same weekend. I'm afraid if I change it, I won't get anything as big.
SO...Jan 11-12(Fri-Sat nights)
I'll post up more specifics when I get them. |

Ok... News Flash!!!
This just in... I me and mine may not be in attendance. (No, I'm not going to DC either.) Looks like I may be going to India to negotiate a contract. I don't have the date of the meeting yet but my contact tells me it could be the 15th of Jan. If so, I'll be on a plane on the 11th.
So, count us as 3 (tentatively) and if the meeting is the following week we'll be there!!! |
