Great job on the XT-Bolt, I agree with your opinion that the XT should have been like that from the factory. Now it just needs some lowers ala S3T. Make them to attach to the frame pucks, on in winter, off in summer. Atleast that is what I want for my Bolt.

hey jim,
I looked up the part number for the xb12s belt vs the part number on the 12x and its different. The x has more teeth, I'm guessing because its a little longer then my lightning.

That's correct. The longer swingarm on the XB12X requires a longer belt than on the XB12S.

Seein - I didn't realize they were different. Thanks for checkin. I'll be glad to just buy the stuff outright from you.

I'm sure you noticed I haven't called you yet. I'm waiting for a clutch cable and gaskets to come in, so I will know when we can do it. Hopefully today.

Hey 1313 could you post up a picture with out the bags on and from the side? I'm thinking about doing the same with my Lightning. I like the squared off seat, but don't have a need for the bags.

Thanks!

hey jim

I'm not looking for money, but if you want to buy me the belt we can call it even. I looked up the xb9s gear and chain, and new they are around $200 together. The belt for the xb12s (04) is $162(ish) with tax. (ray price has 1 in stock) Of coarse the gear and chain I have is not new(I think it had around 3k put on it) so I think this is a good deal.

U4, sorry I had to bail. Hope you and Bryan had a good ride. Even my older brother did not show up for the lunch. Now I remember why. My least favorite sister in-law is still the biggest bitch you ever met! But, it was great seeing Jenny again. She paid for a many of my Redskins games.

I went to the show at ray price. there were a total of 4 buells. It was funny, the other 3 were xb12r's and all three were all stock. One of them had flame stickers (looked nice).
I was the only lightning and the only one with a good handfull of mods. I placed last. (haha) I wasn't really there to show anyways, but since it was only $10 to enter and it included lunch, I did. The other bolts looked to have been brand new and rolled out from the show room. (very nice bikes) but mine has 31K miles and has a scratch or 2 on it.

Overall it was a great show, I'd do it again.
Planning on going for the sport bike show next weekend at RPH.

Sorry we missed you today Mike. Jim and I had a nice ride. First time I've been riding in that part of the state. There are some nice roads and beautiful country side. I'll have to get out that way more often.

Ok Kristi!

Finally getting over to C3 and saying hello. Down here in Wilmington with an '04 Lightning. I've had a spot of correspondence with Jim (Oldog), but have yet to hook up with any Buellers for a ride.

Heck, the only two Buells I've seen were both spotted in front of Lagerheads (old Buddy's) Bar down at Wrightsville Beach.

They weren't moving, but still looked good!

Possibly get a chance to meet some folks up at Inside Pass VIR.

Don

Managed to meet up with Mike & Rachael today, despite the lack of cell phone coverage around Mt. Airy. : ) Left a beautiful day in Raleigh to ride in the rain all day. Still had a good time.

Dogdaze,

I live in Hampstead and I will ride with you! I am not on the Badweb too often because of my schedule. I am in the process of putting on new tires on XB12Ss and after I get some wheel weights today it will be ready to go.

Everyone,

My neighbor has been bugging me to get into dirt bike for over a year now and I sold my Cyclone so I could get my son and I into it. I have a KTM 200 sx and my son has a 65 sx and we are having a blast!! This is the first thing that my son has a real desire to do ( other than X-box )and it is great!! My poor Xb has been sitting and I don't think it likes the KTM's at all. They are some of the best times I have had on two wheels but I still love my Buell. If any of you ride Moto-X let me know, we have riding around home and at Harrell's because my son and I don't have the skills to ride at Trazack ...yet. I don't have a desire to be in a body cast right now.

Cyclone - I do not have a bike yet, but my next bike will be a Dual Sport. No Seed turned me onto it and its a lot of fun.

Dogdaze - Welcome to C3. We need to get a ride together to Maple Hill so we can gather a few of the C3'ers together. We had a great time the last time we got down there. Like Cyclone, my work schedule has gotten in my way of riding so we will have to see when.

U4euh,

I remember you mentioned a plan you had to take a bus and convert it a little so you could haul a bike or two to a party and camp out in the bus. Well I found the perfect bus in New Bern - A SHORT BUS!

Short Bus 1

Short Bus 2

Short Bus 3

Short Bus 4

The gentleman who was nice enough to show it to me hinted that the bottom dollar price (to get them out from under the lien) was $2,800. And that the CDL requirement is only required for passengers in the range of 15, nothing special would be needed for hauling a handful of people around.

Partying in style - in a SHORT BUS!

Disappointment
Friday 4-18- 2008
Greensboro H-D was hosting a Buell apparition day.
I was hoping that my fellow Buell riders would make an appearance.
I and a few of the employees of the dealership were the only Buell-ers their...

C3 - Greensboro, I am putting out the call...
I am thinking of a ride to get the Traid area Buell-ers to come together.
I am opening up the floor.

Summit thoughts

Hi Lonnie,

Welcome to C3.

I'm running through the people who post here in my head, and the only person I can think of in the Triad area is Twig. Surely there are more. Hopefully you post will draw them out.

thanks

Let's hope.

Triad is a great place to ride. It would seem that their is a great deal of interest in Buell bikes I get a lot of Q&A when I stop anywhere.

I hope that my BUELL kin won't let me down.

Lonnie, glad you found us. I had no idea the Greensboro dealer had anything going on. I've had my xb three years and have only seen one other xb and a Uly in town. But, I'm sure there are others around. We will have to meet up soon. I'm hoping to ride over to Ray Price on sat. if I don't have to work, then to the Parkway area the first weekend in May. Later...

I rode through Saturday, on my way up to Mt Airy. Almost stopped at your dealership, as I've never been in.
