In recognition and support of Speedy's racing effort, the chapter presented Speedy with a Storz steering damper for his race bike at the last meeting. We heard him talk about his wish for a damper when we helped him out in the pits at Autobahn earlier this season. That got the idea going, and we decided to buy him one using chapter funds.
I guess a few podium finishes are what we can hope for next season! |

2006 Director ready for duty.I'm work on some things for us to do for 2006 riding season.Any suggestion would be nice?
Trackdays,homecoming,rides all over gods earth,visiting local chapters....Fun and goof stuff you name we try do it.BBQ would be nice I plan on have one the first one.
My plan is get more buell guys attending meeting that have bought bikes from Illinois Harley.More a phone person phone calls and some post cards.
WHO PUT ME UP TO THIS JOB DAM IT???? ME AND MY BIG Mouth......
Just kidding I can wait to get started. |

So, what do all the new officers have planned for the future, might be interesting to hear some of the ideas
A suggestion, plan a trip to deals gap, where the chapter picks up the cost of the camp sites at Fontana Village, its cheep, but you folks need to start planning early so people can get the time off, OH and make it for the end of July early august so i can go, if Mama lets me
Maybe we could plan a ride out to Brents Estate, 10 acres of dirt riding, tearing up the yard, and teaching his kids how to swear would be fun, i mean its not like he's going to drive the 4 hours to get to IL harley, especially considering it might get his bike dirty, or some of the exaust nuts might fall off
Maybe its picture time, going to have to get out the resizing software

Forget the exhaust nuts, what about my nuts? 4 hour rides kill me.I can honestly say that I didn't clean the bike once this past summer. Bike doesn't get that dirty when it sits in the garage. I do have a new project I'm workin' on but it is top secret. |
