You don't have to leak oil, or burn it to use it. Just riding the bike all day can leave you a few ounces short of full. Oil being a liquid will evaporate when heated. Yet another reason NOT to miss a scheduled oil change. So who is all coming to mod Afternoon. As G pointed out, I don't think it is a problem. Just something that I am not used to coming off of a water cooled twin. .5 quart doesn't sound like a big deal. I painted my heel gaurds flat black and they look good, but maybe those too. They would match that way. Hmmmm..... I'm seeing this black theme is common among us folks. Funny, I've painting things black for ever.
