Take a look...some like big bores, some like long strokes, and some like big rear ends.

This is a 240 on the back of a Buell...from bitz4buells in England.

I'm sure it's really fun to ride in the twisties...oh wait...that's right, big tires SUCK for handling.

Going fast in a straight line? Wait...nevermind...Buell's suck at that.

What's the point?

I researched the price of this conversion a while back. With the exchange rate it was insane in price roughly $2800 USD + shipping. I thought it was kinda of pricey but to each their own. Also you have to give them your drive belt sprockets as a core. If not they charge a fair amount for core.

I've noticed that bitz4buells is quite pricey for everything! I'm interested in a few parts that they offer, but their prices are Killer.

However, Al at www.americansportbike.com is developing some of those parts. I can't wait for him to finish some of them!

neat looking rear and a necessity if you are building an Xb base street rod to hang with your local chopper crowd...i've often wondered what a hooligan xb raked and complete with fat tire and forward controls and bobber bars might look like???

hmm....kinda gets you wondering...

Al...is American Sport Bike developing a fat tire for the XB Buell...or thinking about it?

Racertroy...yep, it all kind of depends on the crowd you run with as to what you want in a bike. Like your thoughts...

That concept has crossed my mind. I saw a post here of a tail section changeover s to r and the guys sitting on the bike minus the s tail section reaching for the bars made me wonder. also the only that I dislike about this conversion is that you'll have a mismatched front wheel. But they claim the swingarm accepts the huge rear with no mods other than the drive sprockets. Odie that would be sweet to see.

Odie...please, please; I wanna see!

Well, for me the idea is to have a bitchin' bike with cool performance. There is never an answer as to who has the fastest bike? No how fast or slow mine runs, I want it to run good. So, you do the typical biker thing and make it yours with whatever mods appeal to you. As I have said several times, it also depends on the crowd you run with as to what you bring to the dogfight.

I think a chopper Buell is my kind of bike...not a raked out, stretched big twin. I don't care for them, and they handle like poo poo compared to a Buell...or nearly any other bike.

American Iron has a pretty good looking Buell (tube frame) in the January issue of their mag, but it is not a chopper.

Post the pic Odie...Please...Cyko Bob

Here she is. I friend I work with has a brother down in Florida that has been working on this for awhile. He just finished it and brought it up for the holidays. It is very nicely done. The pics do not do it justice. It is going to be in a magazine next month. I forget the one but will find out. I'm thinking of building one for the wife. She sat on it and loved it. She said it was even lower than her Sporty! (she hates tall bikes and must have her feet on the ground)It started out as a '97 Buell. Enjoy....if you like choppers....Odie

THE BIKE YOU SEE IN THE FIRST PIC IS AT HILLBILLY MOTORS, IT HAS A BIG BORE KIT AND A TURBO, NEEDS THE FAT TIRE TO HOOK UP, IT IS CALLED THE HELLBENDER!

Thanks Odie...that looks a rigid frame. Is your wife ready for that? So many details, but I see it also has an offset sprocket to allow for the big tire/wheel. Let me know what magazine it will be in. If it is one of the standard mags I probably already have a subscription, ha ha!

I know if you also go on www.redneckengineering.com they have a buell mutant kit that takes most of the parts of a donor buell to make a rigid chopper it's cool as well IMO

Brad, at the risk of upsetting Blake please can you explain how you come to the assumption that the prices on my website are expensive ???? Please show me some comparisons against other UK based sites, and I'd gladly investigate them and if necessary adjust any prices (where possible).

My website is aimed at UK Buell owners, even I realise that their's $2 per £ That I'm affraid I cannot do nothing about!

Please also note: When comparing prices you need to deduct the 17.5% UK tax for export (which is something we do alot of).

Blake, sorry I am just defending an allegation that has no foundation or truth to it.

Regards - Stewart / b4b.
