This was after hitting the pavement and dirt about 125mph after a collision in passing (Turn 8, willow Springs - do NOT try this at home) and violent headshake. Frame is still usable
125 MPH and frame is straight

Slaughter..actually, your bike looks great considering what it's been through..looks like you could almost have picked it up and finished out the race....except for the handlebars.

I imagine the Buell frame's easier than any other bike frame to dent due to its design....but that only matters on insurance claims...can't imagine it really has any effect on rigidity.

Yeah - both frames have dents and gouges in the right side. I always meant to "get around to" putting on the frame sliders but ended up falling down before I stuck them on.

Interesting that the above pic, the front wheel and forks were usable (though the headshake busted the steering stops) - but a relatively slow low-side this October bent the forks and wheel... go figure.

XBen9r- Holy crap! I noticed you had a cigerette in the second "after crash" picture. I'd probably smoked a pack(I don't even smoke Man to get up and walk away is a testiment to gear. To get up and see the front half of your bike mangled that is a whole nother issue.

Court, I can't speak for Milwaukee but I do know there is (or was, it's been a while) a damb FINE Mexican restaurant in East Troy. Sorry, dead braincells tell no tales and as such, the name escapes me.

Bob,

Dos Amigos was the (only) Mexican restaurant the last time I was in East Troy.

Dos Amigos

That's where Erik and I ate the last time I was there. Long gone are the good old days when we used to hide in the corner booth at Giles and conspire.

: )

ANY mexican food is better than none....Waukesha used to have one of the best late night places. There were 3 of us who'd meet there round 11:00PM to "take on ballast".
