Is there anyone in the forums or website that's making the Bluetooth modems for use with their android phones? I downloaded the app but I'm not an electrician to build the modem.

TIA

Not that I have heard off. But I'm interested too. I've been playing with the Torque app on my Android tablet and a bluetooth OBDII device in the Saab, and it's very cool. I'd love to have it for the Buell.

It's been available for quite some time, not a modem, just a bluetooth device that can communicate with whatever you want to use. I know guys that use their phone to log data, I just use a netbook in a backpack.

Mike started making them with a 3' cable for 1125's at my request since there isn't anywhere to put the box where the plug is at on the bike. Gotta go in a tank bag or run the wire to the tail section, that was my preference. I had been taping it to the pod on my 1125 but it looked a little silly.

There is ECMspy for Android? Holy Crap, That's fantastic! Maybe I'll have to build a few more adapters.

The bluetooth dongles aren't hard to build , there is some info on ukbeg about them , i made mine with a longer lead to enable it to reach into my tankbag when using on the 1125.

I'm a mechanic, not an electrician. I'd rather pay for one knowing I didn't screw something up.

I'm a mechanic as well ; ) ..... but it's always interesting and satisfying to say at the end of the day "I made that" :-)

Are there any instructions on how to build the cable? I've found bits and pieces, but nothing concrete.

I could build one, and after looking at trying to find all the parts, I bought a cheap pre built one off of ebay. Don't worry, they are really badly made, so you will still have plenty of craft time with it making it so it won't fall apart. ; )

If you skipped the factory connector and spliced in your own custom 3 wire connector from something you had laying around, the math would work better. That Deutsche connector is what kills you.

The connector is cheap on eBay, using a quality BT radio is what makes this expensive.
