misato can you be a bit more in detail as to what it took to get your header off? I want to get mine jet hotted this winter and with the weather less than 32 today i think its about time to get it done. |

a small wobble-socket 1/4 inch drive will fit on the upper rear header bolt. remove the seat and fan to take off the O2 sensor. I couldn't get the header off without taking the cross bar bolts off. (the bar that goes in front of the motor and back to front on the other side-it holds the oil cooler) With those bolts out I could push the cross bars out of the way and remove the header. |

Just back from the painter.. Terrible florescent lights make for bad pictures but it is undeniably roulette green now.. Should I powder coat the wheels next?

Thanks. Cyber Green was the alternative if they couldn't get the roulette green. Here is a shot with a little bit better lighting. Now I see all the other things I will need to do over the winter.. edited by bykergeek on December 12, 2003 |

Don...You turned the Tupperware Look into a Classic. Like it the way it is. Coating the wheels may be overkill. You have a achieved a nice balance of color. Then again, I tend to have conservative tastes. |

Byker, are you going to put the black plastic inserts around the lights? I think that would look sweet with them back on. Either way still sweet looking! |

Xb9rski: I never liked that dull black look so we painted all surfaces with the green. American Sport Bike has Carbon Fiber inserts I may consider at some point but right now, I like the look with 1 color on the fairing . THANKS! |

A friend recommended a local paint/body shop. The specific paint color was hard to find so it pushed the cost up some but was only $350 before tax. Easy to find paint would have been only $300. I removed all the decals and logos before I brought the parts in. |
