Has anyone outside the U.S. been offered/given the replacement headlights for the Firebolt recall? There's no mention of it here, and its getting frustrating knowing the cure is out there as my headlights get sicker and sicker.

Someone posted the service bulletin here some time ago:

Perhaps you just print it out and take it to your dealer.

Regards,
Gunter

I took that service bulletin down to the dealer the day it was issued. He said he will get in touch when the word comes in.

So I guess that's a 'yes' for Australia.

any other countries?

Recalls are a legal issue unique to the jurisdiction.

Any questions, please see your Buell dealer.

Done, new 08 lights fitted while I waited at Harley City Brunswick, and along with the floor stock, they have a museum of about 20 vintage Harleys to eyeball while I waited, a very pleasant experience.
I'm keen to try the new lights this evening to see what the difference is.

Hey Paul, I think in the short term if you bought the lights yourself and fitted them, I have read elsewhere on Badweb that you would be re-imbersed for your costs to replace the defective lights, you would then have better lights immediately and deal with the financials after that, maybe get confirmation of this from your dealer prior to buying the lights.
