You will get a few answers, but I would suggest buying a quality made in the USA stand. Pit Bull. The link below points to what I have, and it is excellent: http://www.pit-bull.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Scr een=PROD&Store_Code=PBMSA&Product_Code=F0028-000&C ategory_Code=rear_stands This setup will allow use with or without rear spools. For spools see Dark Horse. Of course you can buy cheaper, made in who knows where stands that look to be fabricated from lawn chair tubing. |

I have a Gorilla rear stand and it works just fine. I have a Pitbull front stand as well. Although the Pitbull is a higher quality stand, I don't see the Gorilla stand breaking. I got the Gorilla stand on EBay for ~60 bucks. |

Actually, I have never seen a stand that didn't work, with a little this and that. But if you want to get fancy, and who doesn't, you could take a look at the Cycle Cat UCS 1. http://www.cyclecat.com/UCS01-01.htm This stand grabs ahold of the bike whilst it is on the side stand, and lifts and straightens it up at the same time. My long suffering buddy Gerry has one, and it makes single hand lifting of the bike a snap. Even a cave man could do it. Of course at $250, I don't expect to see one in my shop,( ie: under my porch), any time soon. |

I have a 9r and I also have the T-Rex rear stand. If you are just looking for the rear stand i would highly reccomend the t-rex. Good quality and less expensive than the pitbull rear stand. Should cost about 60 bucks on Ebay. thats just my 2 cents. |

For you folks that have the T-Rex stands, can the front stand be used or adjusted for use on a lightning and a uly? Been pondering getting a set of stands, but would like to get by with one set if possible. |

I've got the T-Rex stands and both work great on my Lightning Ss. No adjustment needed. Don't know about the Uly. I would think you could use the bottom of the forks. Is the triple tree higher on the Uly than the Lightning? |

I have T-rex stands and my wife says its the best thing I have ever bought since she does not have to hold the bike while I get it arranged on my atv jack. I would recommend getting both stands with the triple tree adapter on the front. It will cost you about the same as the pitbull stand alone. The stands are great and make life much easier if you like to make a lot of changes to you scoooter. I would think that it could handle the Ulysses with no problem since it is adjustable for height. |

I just ordered the rear T-rex. The way I see it is I want to change a tire or wash my bike NOT hang a stand over the fire place! I just couldn't see the need to buy a Pitbull at well over twice the price as I don't think I'll be using it that much. After all I'm not a racer and the bike might be on the stand once a month if that. We'll see if I wasted my cash or if the T-rex is worth the $52.00 + shipping.
