So i installed a D&D exhaust and a new K&N. Kept the airbox together (i have an '06) i had talked to Al at American Sport Bike and we decided i might be alright without remapping the ecu at my altitude. Things had been great, but just today, a slightly cooler day. its run rough, not terribly just a bit off. Didnt give power at times i expected and did at times i didnt. I have read alot about the closed loop thing, but that doesnt explain why it ran fine till i turned if off last night an started it this morning. Ideas?

When the weather changes, the Buell ECM needs to "relearn" how to fuel the engine.

Run the bike on a flat road for about 5 minutes between 3200 and 3500 rpm in 4th or fifth, without changing the throttle settings.

That should allow the ECM to learn the current conditions, and run properly again.

If not, there may be another problem.

Jon, is this true ? In England the weather changes every 30 minutes - cold & wet this morning, damp & humid at lunchtime and now (after more rain) it's warm & sunny

No wonder my Firebolt is confused lol

edit: it's raining again lol

Actually, if you do what the Gentleman says, the ECM will adjust in as little as two miles assuming that the engine is fully warmed up.
