Heya!
Does anyone know how to take as much weight off of an XB9R? I want to keep it street legal but take off anything unnecessary. So far I have only put on a drummer and ditched the passenger pegs. I would really like to find a set of lightweight wheels

the wheels that come on there are one of the lightest sets on a production bike. unless you head towards some carbon fiber ones

He could buy the XBRR wheels but Why?? Best way is to see and read the forum and then head to the bathroom and jump on the scale. Once you do that ask yourself if need to lose a few. If not continue to read this forum.

You could remove the engine as that is the heaviest part of the bike.

You could bob the rear sub frame if you never intend to have passengers.

Titanium hardware is a start, remove reflectors, mill out/enlarge holes in rear brake rotor, and fiberglass replacement bodywork
are about it for really easy mods if you don't want to get rid of turn signals, mirrors etc. that would make it less than street legal.

lightened crankshaft, remove starter ring and starter (and bump start it), smaller battery, remove wiring you no longer need, lighter
pistons, titanium rods etc are pretty radical and expensive ways to lose weight, especially
for a street bike.

It takes a lot to get an XB12r down to 400 lbs wet.
