Cruisin - Depending on where you live, (I read you live in VT. I may have met you at a Meredith meeting) there may not be enough Buellers to form an independent club. That's what a BRAG brought to a so-called remote area. Now people will ride many miles to the dealer and HOPE to run into another Bueller. This is where a site like this can help people organize meetings and rides. But as others have pointed out, there are many Buellers who know nothin' 'bout this site... or computers for that matter. However, the nearest dealership is the best and most logical place to start a local club. Create a poster, ask the dealership if they will display it, and maybe a sympathetic employee to push the club? I've started several clubs... It takes dedication. I know of others who have tried and failed to start a brand club because there just weren't enough riders in the area. As with any change, there's alway an up-side and a down-side. We're feeling the down-side of the BRAG demise right now. It will take time to see what the up-side will deliver.

Would you please share that knowledge (why the pegasus seems to be phasing out) with us?
I like is as an identifiable brand logo.
The only issue I could see would be possible confusion with the Honda wing, but that
would only happen in very abstract uses of the logo. ie...the Huge stylized wing pattern
on the current CBR series of repli-racers.
If the current Pegasus is history I have to hope there is a new logo waiting in the wings
(pun intended) to help with brand recognition.
The blue and silver oval doesn't cut it. To the uninitiated it looks like a Ford emblem
from just a few feet away.
I hope this is part of the shake up/ new marketing plan. |

That isn't happening.
The only way a bar and shield will become part of the logo is if Buell were folded
into H-D. Meaning no more Buell
I just don't see that happening. |

Tunes - yup, it was I you met at Meredith. The gang is great (I've had some great rides with Chip/Heather, Steve, Steve, Rick, Charlie, Chris, Susan, etc...) but it's a long haul for a club. It was a good ride for me and nice to have a brand club and spend some time at the dealership. Three hours starting at 7am and in 30 degrees just to get to the meeting ain't always fun, but to me it was worth it. I've brought other Vermonters with me on an occasion as well, which made the ride more enjoyable, but for the most part I'm solo. I may see what can be started here for a sportbike club next summer - there is something to be said for local meetings .
Speaking of Pegasus, here's my latest, fresh out of the chair:
