I deal with Harley of Edison, and Liberty in Rahway both in NJ.

The sales manager at the HD dealer in Edison (Pete) rides Buells and another salesman (Seth) is also a "Buell guy". I get my bike serviced there and they always treat me with respect and the service guys seem real cool. My only complaint about this dealer is their parts people. The parts manager and the one guy I always get stuck dealing with are CLUELESS when it comes to Buell parts, and I mean CLUELESS.

I only bought a couple parts from Liberty and haven't used them for service but the guy I spoke to (Anthony I think his name is) was very helpful.

Joe, yes i work at Zylstra's. you should stop in and say hi. we do finally have some shirts and hats in stock. although not the best for summer in that they are long sleeve mostly as they were ordered this winter/spring and just finally showed up within the last month or two. have some hats and stuff too. either way its ALOT more than was there when i started which was none. we even have a woman in sales now that is into Buells also. that makes me happy. i'm not saying things are perfect there by any means, but atleast there is a Buell presence, Rachel and i try to make sure of that!

I was trying to kind of give a nudge to my friend Tim (No_Rice) with the comment about Ames.

Definitely give him and Rachel a chance. They are making an effort to change things.

wow, this seems like a real problem to me!! Whats going to happen 5 years down the road when all the Buell dealers are gone? It seems to be moving that way! I know this is shocking for even me to say, but what if they started putting them on the floor with Honda, Susuki, Kawasaki...etc?? There is already such a different variety with those bike from R1 to VTX! Maybe im missing soemthing big here but there arent going anywhere in Harley Dealerships....and that really sad! Maybe BMW, Aprilla, Buell, KTM should team up with a "varity" dealership?? I know it would cost alot because you need indiviual training, but i guess its an option. I dont know, i think im just talking out my ass right now!

danbury harley davidson buell in ct used to carry buell, harley, and yamaha....hd told them they had to get rid of the yamaha franchise...that was in 1999 they still carry buell, and are not giving up on it, mostly because some of there staff ride buells

I've seen a lot of Victory and triumph dealerships.. In texas I stopped in Victory/triumph/Suzuki dealership....

I have a Euro Dealership near me pretty much everything except Guzzis they dropped them 5 years ago..

I think buell being sold in places other than harley dealership would be good for buell but I don't see Harley letting this happen..

Well why not have a whole row of motorcycle dealerships, like an auto-mall for bikes. HD and Buell could be side by side but separate. Other sportbikes, and bikes of all types to choose from.

Shangri-la...

I have a big odd Austrian troop transport. There are no dealerships at all. There are less than 5 places to buy parts in the U.S.

Solution? Pull on your man boots and learn to fix it yourself.

Dealers are for ordering parts.

My next upgrade is the TPS software. This will allow me to stay even further from the dealer.

Part of the beauty of the Buell is that it is not out of the mechanical reach of most anyone with an IQ over 80.

After all which is easier to fix; A tractor motor or a high revving high tech sensor laden R-6 ?

I'm in Omaha Nebraska (already heard ALL the jokes !!!).

We have two HD dealers and there's a third within 45 miles in Lincoln.

Oldest dealer in Omaha, can't spell Buell. Dealer in Lincoln has always sold and supported Buells.

Newer (3-4 years) dealer in Omaha not only sells Buells, but 2 salesman, parts manager and service writer all ride them.

They always have 4-5 Buells on the floor, with back-ups in stock and they do a great job w/ parts

They also take metric bikes and rice rockets in trade - it's not unusual to see 2-3 CBR types, a BMW or a Duc, and a metric cruiser or 2 in their showroom.

If it can be done in Omaha Nebraska, it can be done anywhere in the US !!!

To be quite honest, I can't say that Flint River quit selling the brand, because they still have a buell sign out front. They also have a sister satellite store in Tifton 40 miles away that could be displaying the bikes. However, you could not tell that they still sold the brand if you were to walk on the floor. It sucks too because they have a great customer service team and it is family owned and ran. They made me feel special with each purchase. At least hang a race kit muffler in the window to let us know the brand is still in there somewhere.

As whodom mentioned earlier, the newest H/D dealer in Northeast Columbia, SC is also a Buell dealer. It is located at the Spears Creek Church Road/Pontiac exit on interstate I-20 and named Thunder Tower H/D. I have seen a few of the bikes in the front window. Don't know anything about service level there.
