ALL buell sales people. We all have our Horror/idiotic/funny/sad/crazy/outlandish tales about talking to The Buell sales staff at our local HD boutique. I will say, My local shop is pretty darn good for the most part. Several guys and gals working there ride Buells. Still, they could gather a lot of info from this site. I bet if I went in there today, they may know half of what has been posted here about the new 06 bikes.

ERIK SHOULD SUGGEST THIS SITE TO BE REQUIRED READING, AT LEAST TWICE A WEEK FOR ALL BUELL SALES PEOPLE.

Hell, If I was a sales person, I would want all the latest info I could possibly have concerning the product i was selling. If I was a BUELL seller, I would read this site every damn day.

People need to take more pride in their work.

I know my local dealership does read this site routinely, they know it well, and they are outstanding when it comes to Buell.

I don't think it's a coincidence.

I check in on this board about 20 to 30 times a day. Our salespeople and parts folks read it on a regular basis.

I'm here more than I'm at the shop. But I guess it doesn't matter anymore. I do direct potential Buell customers to the best nearby dealer, then the nearest dealer, then to badweb.

I here that! Its pretty bad when the customer knows more about bikes than the person selling them(hon, yam, suz, kaw)are included.sh8t my buell salesman didn't know squat about HD or Buells
and they did'n't know about this site

When I bought my 96 S2, they told me it had a 3.7 gallon gas tank.

I called my 'local' Buell dealer (an hour away) today and asked when they thought the '06 models would be on the floor for me to come and take a look at. After being put on hold for a couple minutes I was finally given this answer: "We're not sure. Call back in a few weeks to see if they've shown up by then?"

Potential customer service? Doubtful.

That was one of the reasons I enjoyed talking to Brian @Tilley's HD/Buell. He was on this site alot and directed me to it. I had had my Buell for 7-8 months before I drove up there and he told me about it. That was proof that this site should be required reading. Hell they ought to have a computer in the showroom with BWB as the home page!

Doughnut is that really what Dean told you about your fuel capacity,I doubt it.And if it was Jamie that sold you the bike, that would be funny considering he owned a S2.Exactly like yours color and new in 96.

not all dealers view the electronic world as a potential revenue stream -- one dealer I know passed on a badweb sponsorship, citing the cost -- make me wonder what the thought process was, thinking that the investment could be recovered PDQ . . . .

another Buell salesman said that he wasn't paid to surf the web all day -- same comment applies, I think . . . .

while the Buell community may have been pioneering in it's wired-ness (izzat a word?), not all are euqually comfie in the virtual reality --

too bad, as there is much to be gained (and an equal amount to be avoided ;-} ) there

watch that attitude as employees/employers beccome younger -- there's a huge line dividing younger folks who are tech-comfie and generally older folks who are less so (seen in my profession, training, every hour of every day) --

My dealership knew nothing about this site, and when I asked some questions relating to wheel bearings and sidestand recall, they told me not to believe anything I read on the web (good advice, except that there is a lot of good info on product-specific sites like this).

I took in copies of the pertinent official info downloaded from this site...
