Author Message   Got1nut Posted on Saturday, April 30, 2005 - 08:09 pm:        when I bought my bike the owners manual had a card attached that had to be mailed to Buell for warranty. Was I suppsoed to get a warranty card back? Or does the servicing dealer know that the bikes are under warranty by checking the VIN? ps. bike is fine just wondering   Trolldaddi Posted on Saturday, April 30, 2005 - 09:16 pm:        1nut, I was told they use the VIN for warranty info. The card is just to make you feel nice and special.   Chainsaw Posted on Sunday, May 01, 2005 - 10:10 am:        You should have a card for the original warranty and a separate one for the extended warranty (if purchased). You can contact your original selling dealer for both. Took 'em less than 5 minutes to scribble out a card to replace my misplaced Extended Warranty card. To my knowledge, your VIN will not pull up any info on an extended warranty.   Starter Posted on Sunday, May 01, 2005 - 05:43 pm:        When I enquired as to why mine was 12 months overdue I got a response saying they don't do that no more. I was told servicing dealers would know everything about the bike from the VIN as well.
