Can anyone with experience tell my if the Hotcam shims are as good or better than the Harley Davidson shims, regarding wear between valve adjustment intervals. How well do they hold up when comparing the two? | ||

there a 2 thou (.002in) offset in.05mm other than hd shims are a one thou(.001in) offset in .025mm the only difference between the two | ||

im using both to stay as tight on the high as i can do to a hot check is almost impossible | ||

I'll be doing my first valve adjustment soon and was wondering, do the clearances have a tendency to get tight, or loose on the Helicon? | ||

Tight I've done my valves twice so far(28k miles). First time they were tight, in-spec. Second time 6 were tight out-of-spec. Shimmed for spec-loose. Z | ||
