Tell me how much of a jack wagon I am for asking this. Last year I rode my 1125R the 250 miles to Indy. I met a few Badwebbers and had a good time. It wasn't even an uncomfortable ride. But, should I chicken out and ride my VFR this year, or will that earn me derision and ridicule? Lol!

Screw them all, and ride what you WANT to ride.
Don't let ANYONE dictate what you should or shouldn't ride anywhere!
I have a number of Buells, but have ridden my Yamaha Tenere, Honda ST1300, and even my Hardley to Buell rides.
Fu#k anyone that wants to TRY to tell me what to ride, or where to ride it...

This. Ride a GoPed if you want. Do whatever is best for you, not anyone else (unless you have a passenger). If the VFR will suit the job better, go for it.

I rode my 1125R to Indy today. Rained the whole time.

Still a fun time. By the way, don't post the question if you do not opinions.

Rode the 1125R. It was a long boring ride, but my ass is not much worse for wear. The only real downside is that I have to wear earplugs on the 1125 whereas I don't on the VFR.

I have two bikes now. Both Buells.
After 2 cross-countrys on Loretta(1125R) and one on the Uly, my choice for future rides is easy. Uly wins hands-down.
Trying to figure out a trailer to tow the 1125R behind the Uly. : )

Ride what makes you... YOU... smile the most.

Last year I saw at least a half dozen 1125s and a handful of other Buells. This year, I've only seen one other 1125 (an '08), a Blast, and, one other one--didn't get a good look but I think it was an XB.

I was really surprised to see so few Buells at MotoGP this year. I wonder where everyone was. The few Badwebbers who were there last year (the guys I chatted with at the drag dyno, for example)--did you guys not show up this year?

I didn't see any 1125Rs, I didn't have mine at the strip Friday or Saturday ( too much alcohol to consume to ride). Just at the Track both days.

Saw a few XBs at the track and that's it.

Wish EBR had a booth there.

On Saturday at Indy I parked my Uly near lot 8 in someone's front yard (for $5!) next to my friend's VFR. My VFR was at home.
