I seem to be going thru front brake pads pretty damn quick. How much drag between pads and rotor is normal?

I'm getting about 3 track days out of a set of race sinter pads. After 3 days I was down to a dime depth on the the top pads and a penny depth on the bottom pads.

Using SBS RS pads. I changed the seals and pistons out this spring.

Not unusual for someone really using the brakes, honestly.

Are you using the upgraded rotor and rotor hardware kits? Those make a difference in pad wear by reducing heat in the braking system.

For a good combination of durability and performance, try the 2015 compound pads from EBR.

scroll down ...the "wizard of stop" (JD)- made a great list based on his experience...

experience is a tough teacher - the test comes first....the lesson later

the wizard knows his stuff

( I use the EBR that he recommends above)
