Any sales on the velocity stacks? I want to get some but they are almost $200 American dollars with tax and shipping. Just a little out of my budget right now.

I am a very satisfied TH customer. The purchase from overseas was easy and painless, and the TH is very well made- stainless and no packing to repack, so it should serve for a long time.

The process of updating the ECM over the interwebs was interesting and fun. The bike was rideable with the TH and stock tune, but the re-tune made it even better.

Although the TH is considered to be fairly quiet among the aftermarket muffler options, I still found the sound a little loud for my liking. I had a fabricator friend braze a small section of perforated baffling into the pipe's outlet. This really took some of the edge off of the sound.

So now I have a stainless muffler that is lighter than stock, doesn't blow on the rear wheel, sounds deep but not rude, and should last the life of the bike. I'm a satisfied customer. I look forward to buying the velocity stacks (& tune) this winter.

I have a TH and took it off as it was a bit too loud for long journeys. Can you post/send a few pictures of your modification please.......If I can get it done here in Europe I might get the TH back on the bike.

Pattio

If you could spare that PM I'd appreciate it.

I love my TH and it sounds great while it's running but at idle it's too much. My day job is in the same building as state police HQ and I can't take my bike there with the TH fitted

I had a look at it. Pretty good looking - fits really well.

How much does it cut the sound at idle.

Without before & after testing under controlled conditions with a calibrated measuring device, there's really no way for me to say 'how much' quieter it is (quiet isn't even really the word... less loud?)

'Takes the edge off' is about the best I can do. You know that millisecond of fight-or-flight that everyone in a few foot radius gets when a loud bike is started? It reduces that. Might be just the trick for your parking-near-the-police challenge.

I'll have a good look at it. I've got no problems parking my Firebolt there with a Micron. It's just the 1125 is really loud when I'm warming up in the underground carpark. I just need the noise at idle knocked down. The rest of it is sweet.
