He made a post on here, but got kicked in the teeth for not becoming a sponsor first. I don't know who was belittling the guy, but it should have been done in a pm and not at all if they aren't a moderator.

He probably found another forum.

I think all the pipes I've found so far are ugly.Fmf , jardines, hmf . Half of them look like car mufflers?

I second Curve carver, with the exceptions of the free sprits, the RT-4, and the stock pipe, they all take away from the look

This is the first I've seen of the exhaust. It looks better than the Barker in that it tucks up under the motor nicely but Dean's exhausts do look better. Sidekickperformance.com appears to be Australian; I wonder what the slipon costs.

I agree, these damn pipes do not fill in the bottom half of the bike like the stock does. I don't like all of the bolts and cut angles or the motor to be exposed and none of the exhausts that I have seen do anything for the bike cosmetically except the race exhaust by Erik Buell Racing and that damn thing is really expensive. Give me an exhaust that does the job and look nice without breaking the bank and I will start talking shop.

Sidekick is in the UK, but I think he's moving his hosting to a .au or something. I like the way the round one looks, but I think Dean's pretty much got that market on lock down. It looks way smaller (diameter) than Dean's, so i imagine it's a bunch louder as well unless there's something more than meets the eye ... which I think it is not since they're re-packable and are probably just perforated tubing with packing around it. The only advantage he has is that it's a full system.

Wish the Barker's midpipe was less obtrusive and it was tucked up, but for the money (which is all I had at the time due to unforeseen financial obligations -- sorry Dean -- I had to settle for the Barker's for now).

Having come from loud British bikes, and watching V-Rod owners lose HP and reliability with non-stock exhausts over the past seven years, I have no interest in modding the exhaust on this bike.
The 16GA factory exhaust with factory flash on the V-Rod works so well, I bought a second pipe when they stopped making them. I watch folks fret over settings on a dozen different fuelers to make non factory pipes work under all conditions.
Anyone offering an exhaust should have a way of retuning the EFI. Few do. I wouldn't touch one that didn't have a lot of R&D behind the fuel management required.

Jeepinbueller -- it's ok. I'll get by. : )

Daniii -- I've seen numerous aftermarket pipes for the 1125 make more power (10-20 hp in some places) than stock, even without any fuel changes. That said, I'd still recommend going with some form of tuning with any aftermarket system, I'll be getting the Erik Buell Racing race ecm when they get done tuning for the stuff I make.

The guy is an ex- Brit who has moved here to Sth Australia. I had my first service yesterday($420 ouch!)& saw this exhaust on an 1125r in the dealers shop. IMO it looks like a mass production unit & very well made. The polished finish is excellent & the pipe welds are very neat. No idea what it sounds like though? Retails around $600

The free spirits pipe looks pretty good but way to pricey . I don't want to go over 600.00 . A full system should be less than 1000.00. I guess I'm used to the I4 prices.
What pipe made the most power to date.

Looks like a nice pipe and no one belittled the guy. No doubt the thread was removed for the usual reasons. With shipping I doubt many in the US will be going for one though.

I wish D&D would have made a slip for the 1125r just like the one they did for the XB models.
the twin pipe under the engine is by far the best sound for a buell and it retins the look of what Buell intended the muffler to act on a buell.
I don't like this muflers to the side of the bike, it makes them look out of plave and more like a metric bike.
