You guys ride really gently. 
My rear Corsa III was done at 1800 miles.
The best I've ever gotten out of a rear tires was 6500 miles on a Metzler Tourance on my BMW GS. Got 9000 out of the front.
Typically I get between 2500 and 3500 miles out of a sport touring tire and less out of a sport tire. I figure I'll be swapping Corsa III's out every 2000 to 2500 miles. |

I tried the Shinkos 009's because I thought they would be good inexpensive commuter tires for the fall/winter.
All the reviews had good things to say and that they lasted a long time (8K miles). Well that's not the case for me. Decent grip Yes. But I will be lucky to get 3000 miles out of the rear. Not what I expected for a sport tourer. The front also feels squirmy above 115 mph with the 009 front tire. Its got a really tall side wall, not sure if that's what's causing it.
I would go with a Pilot Road, Storm or Road Attack for mileage. |

Another one to consider is the Bridgestone BT-021 sport touring. Another guy I work with had 9k on the rear of his Triumph Speed Triple and he's pretty hard on tires. He's only done about 40k miles this year between 3 bikes. Cancer struck in late spring and it slowed him down some. He's back riding now though. |

take a look at the Dunlop "road smarts". They are a high mileage tire that some Iron Butt Riders are using. |

I got 3500 miles on my CR's rear stock Corsa. All street riding and cords were hanging out. Great tires but not long lasting. I want something that will stick regardless of short life. You can't have everything. Longer life = less traction. |

I consistently got 10k per rear for Diablo Stradas on my XB9.

Not necessarily. It depends on how the long life is achieved. The Stradas, and the Tomahawk T1s I'm trying out now do it by just using that much more of the soft compound. Heavier tire, but good traction and treadlife. |

That would be me. I suppose it's possible; perhaps we use something less abrasive in our road surfaces here in Victoria, Australia.
I'm a commuter, so it's curious to me to read what seems like bragging about how LITTLE life some get from their tyres.
At 16,000+ miles (not kilometres) of riding annually, I want my tyres to be effective, adn to last. So I bought a second set of Corsa III's because the first were so good. |

I consistently got 8k miles out of the rear and 12k out of the front on my zx9r with the bt-021 on it. Thats with relatively easy riding, some wheelies and some high speed runs/}racing. |
