Last year had a NASTY tank slapper @ 90kph just a couple days after throwing on a set of Metzler race take offs.

Went back to the stock tires, rode pretty hard including a few track days..no problems at all.

Just purchased a set of MINT (3 laps) DOT approved Diablo Supercorsa's (sc1 front sc2 rear)
I am gonna spoon them on tomorrow.

Anyone know if the Diablo's have the balance mark on the inside like the Corsa III's?

Do I need to have a shop balance the wheels again?

I would have them balanced, regardless of where the dot or mark is at. Even 1/8th of an ounce will cause some vibration at a particular speed. My last set of BT-016's needed 5/8th's of an ounce (yep, I cut a 1/4 oz weight in half) instead of 1/2 ounce to get it right. I tried to run with balancing it to 1/2 oz and got a nasty vibration at 92-94 mph, but only at that speed. That last 1/8th fixed it. Rolls smooth up to 150 anyway.

I'd say get a steering damper for a tank slap. Sure your tires should be balanced and all, but getting a tank slap ain't no fun period. I think I'm gonna end up getting the ohlins kit when I get the money. I like the kits that mount to the front of the frame where the fairing mount is (like the bit tubo and I believe the Ohlins kit) and not to the airbox cover. Just my 2 cents if you are gonna be ripping it up on the track or doing wheelies frequently.

I have a GPR.. to be honest I have taken it off. I don't like the feel of the bike with it on. Hard to describe other than the bike feels "tippy" with the stabilizer. I can't figure out why. Without the GPR on, bike tracks true as an arrow, I can coast with no hands to a red light no problem (not a common practice, just illustrating the point)

With the GPR on, even the slightest shift in weight and the bike wants to dive...
