Ok well if you guys go down a bit and look at my FML thread it kinda explains it. But iv had issues with my bike. Bad speed sensor. Clutch weep. Buell stickers are comming off and have huge air bubbles in them. Staples came out the bottom of my seat.my frame is 2 dif colors up close to front. And ihave the battery drain issue.along with the low fuel light and cel crap and the front brake recall Only thing they fixed was my speed sensor. Its been a month and they still have. No parts in but sware there ordered. They pulled the speed sensor off a bike on the floor 2 weeks ago for me. And about the seat and ic being replaced they keep tellin me "there waitin to hear from Buell" every time I call its that or oh the other guys off I haven't heard nothin call bak 2 marro. Or service manager is off call bak. So I did 2day and he said the same crap! Like seriously this is weird. How would it take this long when he said the stuff isn't on back order. And I want a new ic. I'm going to the wv Buell meet and last thing I need is a dead battery when I'm there out camping. Only issue is the. Clutch cover is rough now but u can look at the fml thead about that like I said b4.

As much as you are probably not happy I'd suggest following the chain of command. Next up would be the manager of the facility. Than BCS.

Anyone who works in a field where there is a chain of command will tell you no one likes being side stepped for the next person up.

Call Western Reserve. They are one of the better dealers in the country and have an excellent reputation.

x1086.3am is the part number he gave me. i talked to jim the service manager. he went to ask the parts manager but hes gone for the day, he said he will check it out along with the IC and call me tomarrow. BUTTT when i called him at10 am today he said he would check everything out and called me by 4 and tell me what he heard. (he at10am didnt know about the part being "obsoleted" then again he didnt know untill i called him just now and he actually looked up on the comp what happened....so does that mean for the past 10 times iv called them and asked them about it they jus figured it was normal for something to still not have came in and thought "hey maybe i should check why!?!?!?!?!"

The X1086.3AM is a brand new part that comes on the 2010 bikes, it is the newest one, and it just came out, so it might be causing some confusion.

A couple of weeks ago I was told that the new clutch parts were on back order till the 27th. As for the cluster, I was able to get mine within a couple of days both times. The first time with the dead battery problem, I had to call BCS but that was really early on with all the dead battery problems.

Have you called him? I'm very curious as to what the deal is on part availability on the clutch fix. I'll be ticked if my bike sits for 12 days while I'm away and come home to a bike that's not fixed yet.

Keep us informed.

Hey Chris!

Sorry about the delay. I just talked with our Service Manager and he left you a message about the part we were waiting for. It will be in on Mon or Tue.

Sorry about the communication gap.

Let me know when you are coming in and I will take you out for a meal.

Jim

Since I'll need the part when I drop mine off next week Teach, is there any possibilty of getting the clutch fix piece on order in advance to absorb any delay?

Btw, which part is being used now, the 2010 part or the one Buell released several weeks ago? There seems to be some confusion on this.

ok i didnt write thepart number down because i was at work. but jim pasko the service manager did clear everything up for me! i guess i figured i was getting the run around because of how many other have done it with stuff like this. also thanks jim (teach)for your concern. i dont know when i will be in yet as the new pistion/sleve kit wont be in untill about tuesday (the other part number i posted before was the old one or up to date untill about a week or 2 agio then it changed again) also buell didnt ok the new instrument cluster, but jim went ahead and ordered it anyways and is really taking care of me. i guess they really are a great dealer. and being as busy as they are and buell not getting back to them asap. it made me worry (seein this bike is myDD and i have nothing else to get to work with as of right now) thanks again guys at WR-HD and both jims

My first cluster had the parasitic draw problem and the second one had the low fuel light problem. This one seems good so far.

i needed a new cluster and the dealership ordered one on the spot. it took 2 weeks to get one that did not work. i waited 2 more weeks for another one to come in and found out that they never ordered another. on the third week i called Buell. three days later they had one in hand for me from Austin. Buell even told them to give me a free service for my troubles. if you ever have an issue, call buell!
