First BAD post to my credit. Having sold my Ducati ST4S back in November I've been bikeless and looking for something to meet my two wheel needs. I found the deep deals on '08 1125Rs and one test ride back on the 3rd was all it took. My local dealer wouldn't (or couldn't) match the prices elsewhere, so tomorrow morning I fly to Dayton and pick up my new Black Beauty!

Thanks for all the great info on this board! Because of you all I feel I picked the bike with a good build date, got all the recalls done, and the 05Z flash as well.

Hopefully I can go ride with some of you!

Paul

She's home!

Amazing bike. BEGS to be on twisty roads, not a freeway bike. Averaged 38 mpg on the 690 miles home. Probably had 50-75 miles in the rain too, guess I had to baptize her!

Congrats also on the very smart purchase! Sounds like you had a good ride home. What dealer did you purchase from? Do you live near the mountains in Ga? My 08 is a June build. Don't remember the serial number offhand. Good Luck and Ride Safe!

Purchased at F & S HD in Dayton.

I'm about 1 1/2 hours south of the mountains, but have a lot of twisty roads heading west from where I live. I prefer the mountains because it's COOLER there!

Take that baby back to the dealer and have them change that clutch cover and while you are there have them run your VIN. I thought they would deliver the bike with all the available updates. Congrats!

Sounds very up-to-date to me.
The bike has the latest recall, the front brake line, done.

It's cool to see what Loretta looked like in the beginning.

Enjoy the bike, mine is the best ride I've ever owned.

You will be amazed how far you can lean this bike and not fall down.
