I'm selling my 1998 S1 White Lightning. This bike has just been fully rebuilt from the frame up. I bought the bike 2 summers ago and have spent hundreds of hours since then tearing the bike apart and meticulously rebuilding it. Every known problem has been addressed including: updated oil pump gear, updated crank seal, 9 plate barnett carbon fiber clutch, new front and rear isolators, new stator, cometic gaskets, new brake pads, integrated led tail light, led turn signals, and brand new Dunlop RoadSmart II's with less than 500 miles on them. The frame was professionally powdercoated pearl white, and the cam cover was cut and powdercoated with the primary cover matte black. The stock front motor mount prone to breaking was replaced with a bullet proof billet mount to eliminate any future issues. It also has a force exhaust, new forcewinder intake, Banke billet shift assembly, Banke Billet Brake assembly, and CRG blindsight mirrors. I have also replaced the stock swingarm with a cast aluminum X1 swingarm. The recall was still open on the stock shock, so I took it in to Hal's Harley Davidson/EBR in New Berlin to have a brand new shock put on. I have spent countless hours making sure I addressed every potential problem that these bikes have had. I also have a short "greenie" carbon fiber fender, an extra drive belt, a VRod headlight in perfect condition (I had intentions of installing the headlight and replacing the stock headlight, gauge cluster, and removing the flyscreen), and some extra spare parts. This bike really rips, it is an absolute blast to ride, and has a whole different feel (and power band) than any other sport bike ever built. There is a lot of love and thousands of dollars put into this bike, its not perfect, but you will never find another one like it. I would like to see $4,200 but I'm open to reasonable offers.

If you would like to see more pictures of the bike now or pictures before/during the rebuild, feel free to call, text, or email me. I am more than willing to send pictures or set up a time to check it out! Thanks for looking!

That's a savvy use of black and white. Just the right amount of each for the perfect contrast.
Congratulations to you on building such a beautiful machine. Well done indeed.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I really do love this bike. It was a blast to build and even more fun to ride. The only reason I'm looking to sell is to pursue another dream of mine, unfortunately there is only so much money to go around! I am definitely willing to negotiate if anyone out there is interested. If anyone would like more pics or a video of it running just let me know. Also I would be willing to help transport it. Thanks for looking!

Let's see if this works...

Sorry for the awful video quality, I recorded it in low quality so I could send it as a text message to another interested party. If someone was interested, I could take a video with my GoPro in HD and upload it to youtube.

Whitetrashxb, it was originally a black on black, here are some pics before/during the frame off.

If you are interested, I would definitely be willing to help transport it. I have an enclosed trailer and would be willing to meet half way ish.

I know I've said it before and I'll say it again, That is one gorgeous bike. Nothing overdone on it and nothing underdone. The perfect visual balance. An outstanding use of black and white. I see that Kevin is a mechanical engineer. It's obvious he is also a design engineer if this is typical of his work. Thanks for posting these pics. I drug them out of the window and have them archived with all my other Buell pics. An outstanding bike!

Jeff - Thank you very much! I really appreciate the comments. I loved building the bike, it was an absolute blast. I can't even count how many time I flipped back and forth on the color scheme. I definitely did't build the bike with the intention to sell. But things change, and it was just the right time to let it go. Now I just have to find another project to play with! I don't know if I would be happy on a bike I couldn't tinker with!

Thanks again!
