Not sure about the announcers though- as Steve Martin said "Some people have a way with words, and other people, ooo, uhhhh, not have way."

Just got back home and found out Wes was second in his class with a very respectable 11:40 for his first race. They also forced all the bikes to be the first up this morning so the asphalt wasn't as good as it could be. He was wide eyed and excited at the start. I'm sure he'll let us know how much fun it was!

Thanks guys, it was awesome seeing ll the buell enthusiasts there! I actually crashed during my run on a slick centerline, but was able to pick it up and continue on. Anytime you can crash and still get 2nd I would consider a good day! The racer in me is a little dissapointed as I know the bike was awesome and easily capable of a low 10 minute run. I can't thank EBR, Dunlop, and Shorai enough. Please check out wforacingonline on facebook. We have some pics ang gopro footage posted there. Should have our run and crash/recovery to second place there today! If the new EBR models have power similar to the recipe they cooked up for my Pikes peak bike, they are going to be something else! Thanks for the support!

Man, that's pretty impressive. Hell, from what I've seen of the course, the fact that you crashed and SURVIVED is pretty amazing!

God Wes, I had no idea you went down. That makes your time even more impressive! That is why I was worried about sending the bikes up before the sun could heat the asphalt and paint to a safe level for 2 wheeled vehicles, especially the heavier variety. An hour later would have made a big difference. I hope it all just makes you more hungry to get back next year.

Now to go see the pics and video!
