How are you guys doing for parts supply since HD dropped Buell? What are the waiting times like? Any problems getting spares? | ||

Things for the most part are about the same as they were a year ago. A few parts here and there are backordered, but thats nothing new for us. | ||

If you depend on your Buell for daily transportation and do not have a backup. I would order a belt to have on hand for the day it's needed. American Sport Bike had them in stock last month. | ||

I work in "Parts" at High Country HD/B. A LOT of parts, both HD and Buell are on backorder now. Even worse is fighting thru the obsoleted and superceded parts to find what actually IS still available. Sometimes it's tough to find a part quickly, that's where BadWeB comes in. Never give up Zack | ||

After the drunk idiot hit me the only problem I had was getting the new side cases and that was a fiasco but I finally got them. But getting everything else I needed to at least be ride again only took about a week | ||

Personally, I've had no problems getting parts that I've ordered recently. Apparently that's not universal. --Doc | ||

Longdog, what's your situation with parts in the U.K.? Seems like I recall reading somewhere that it was never great to begin with across the pond. What's it like now? | ||

Well as far as I can tell, it's similar to the USA. Fortunately, we have a pretty damn good guy affectionately known as Maz who runs an independent specialist Buell shop called the Emporium (http://www.ukbeg.com/emporium/index.htm) here who appears to get parts that HD dealers can't or won't get. Another good HD dealership is Black Bear who are Buell lovers. |
