I have been reading a bit about the seat and ECM interference and while working on my 08 I saw that even with the block it was touching the connector slightly. I think I am going to use my heat gun to make an indent in the seat base. Any opinions on whether this will work or not? Is the seat supported sufficiently elsewhere?

I just installed a second block on the rear nut. I will keep you posted as to its effectiveness.

I bought and tried a second block on the rear ECM screw, as Portero72 mentioned. It might have worked but it made the seat very hard to install. I pulled the block back off and put it in my "extra Buell parts" box. Maybe I can find a use for this $11 piece of plastic somewhere else.

Sad story on the 07 as well.....it just doesn't fit. Seems not every bike is the same, some people say its fine.

I lifted the seat rails on my bike by putting a 3mm packer between the seat rail and the frame, probably to where it was meant to be???

Not sure if it worked

But it did close that annoying gap Uly's seem to have 'twixt seat and air-box

My seat was rubbing on the ECM also so I took the die grinder and relieved some of the seat pan. I did'nt want to mess with the ECM incase I decide to take it in as a warranty issue.

My ECM Condom seems to be working fine. It does takes a little more force to put the seat on. I have both high and low seats and the low seat hits the condom a little more then the high seat, but it might be because the high seat is new.

I like the idea of relocating the ECM better then the condom. I would like to see pictures of how it was done.

I thought about selling them but I don't think I am allowed without a special account.
