I really liked Trump, but I think that both the article and Patrick are right. Personally, I think Ron DeSantis would make a good President. I loved it when he sent the planeload of Illegals to Martha's Vineyard. Nevertheless, if Trump does run again, he'll get my vote. |

Given the choice between DeSantis and Trump I'd pick DeSantis. Was never a huge fan of the man himself (Trump) but liked his priorities. However- picking on Ron is not good form at all, this will just cause a divide within the party. Grow up Don before you loose it! |

I agree Doz. There is no need for Trump to rip on DeSantis. Kinda bummed about it. The division is not just bad, it could be catastrophic. I loved Trump as a President. Always thought he was a jerk, but couldn't argue with his policies. It's time he grew up and gained some wisdom and humility. |

https://pjmedia.com/columns/david-solway-2/2022/11 /11/desantis-2024-think-again-n1645202 Trump has obviously made his mistakes. As Alicia Colon writes on American Thinker, “There is no question that Donald Trump is a flawed human being like most successful businessmen.” She goes on: “Whenever I read the complaints from Trump haters, it’s all about his personality, his tweets, his misogynism, his sexist remarks, blah, blah, blah. This is infantile, high school criticism that has no place in political punditry.” Similarly, as J.B. Shurk writes, everything that the establishment class “has fraudulently peddled against Trump—that he’s imperious, mercurial, uncouth, unworthy to hold office, a Russian spy, a warmonger, an insurrectionist, a ‘denier,’ a criminal—is nothing but an endless barrage of psychological warfare directed against MAGA voters.” Trump’s flaws of character — and who is without them — do not alter the fact that Trump is an indomitable fighter and the most successful president in recent history. His ego is concomitant with his strength; the two cannot be separated. To turn against him now and indulge in gutter journalism, righteous schadenfreude, or in considerations of realpolitik largely because a number of his chosen endorsements succumbed to a corrupt and rigged electoral machine is a sign of conservative defeatism and, in some cases, of self-enamored mobbing. We were quite happy with his major and unprecedented policy successes: making America energy-independent, restoring the manufacturing base, revisiting trade deals to benefit American workers, creating a surge in employment and prosperity, laboring to put a stop to illegal immigration, appointing conservative judges, rebuilding a depleted military, and establishing renewed American pre-eminence on the international stage. Now we are ready to consign him to the golf course. How quickly gratitude turns to recrimination. Zero doubt that the 2022 elections had sufficient propaganda about Election Deniers to make even requesting a recount a Terrorist Act Against "Our Democracy". ( reg trade marx ) Thus by simple logic, the elections were, in fact, stolen. Ditto Agitprop on the 2020 election proved it was too. If it wasn't, there'd be no need for the agitprop blitz. |

As a Never a fan but he has the Best Enemies, and a rational guy who appreciated the country being a net energy exporter and my 401k improving, not to mention record minority wealth increase by record employment, I was more than willing to blow off ( not ignore ) Trump's bombast. Especially when it triggered the Snowflake Enemy Propaganda Machine. That's Entertainment! But it seems my basic dislike for the Game Show Host also armors me against the Angst the True Believers have as The Bad Orange Man keeps being the jerk he always was. I don't have to like someone to agree with them, life is affected by Policy, not Popularity. How many likes your twit gets means nothing to my electric bill. An Executive Order that Dictates energy shortages, does. I fear Donald will go down in history as the last freely elected president. |

NPR Should have been defunded years ago. I didn't always think that way... But it needs to have its funding cut at this point. It has become nothing but a Democrat mouthpiece. A mouthpiece funded by the taxpayers. Predominantly Rich Conservative Taxpayers. Kinda like paying to be spit on. |

I'm going to disagree with one word. Rich. It's the middle class that pays for everything. Oh, silly pundits point out that "the rich" pay billions, and that's true. But looked at as a burden, not just percentage of income, or wealth, but how hard You worked to pay the taxes and what you then couldn't do with the fruits of your labor? And the vast majority of taxes are paid by the middle class and poor. Keep in mind I am Not picking on Musk, here, but when he paid his taxes, and I'll assume he paid every penny, ( even if he just did it to anger his enemies! ) it didn't keep him from buying a yacht. Or a new car. But when I pay my fair share, that does, or can & has, keep me from buying a new car. Yes, it's a matter of priorities. I could have bought a new Corvette in 2006 instead of a used Caravan. I could have chosen to arrange my limited budget. Skipped vacation camping, sold my Cyclone, any number of choices. But I never could afford a yacht with a crew. Or built a space port. I don't begrudge anyone either. I'm not immune to envy. I just don't swim in it. |

https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2022/11/nuc lear-secrets-never-mind.php And, needless to say, no “nuclear secrets.” The Democrats lie continually, and when their lies have served their purpose they quietly move on, without apology or any sort of accountability. So, has a Presidential candidate been arrested by his opponent before in the U.S.? |

And because Democrat Party Media feels no need to be consistent in their lies, also expect a lot of Blaming Trump about the economic crisis the Democrat Governors created with dictatorial powers to shut down business that didn't bribe them to stay open. And there's going to be a bit of truth behind their attacks on Trump. |

Yes President Trump was screwed over. Badly. Not just by the Left in all it's tentacles, but by those who should have been loyal. And that really sucks. That said, the bottom line though, is Trump needs to move forward to have any chance of becoming President again. |

It came to me in the shower this morning. We don't need to FIX election cheating - we need to USE it. Just like Twitter - as soon as the Left realizes the conservatives are USING IT...they'll scream and holler and throw a fit until things change. Problem solved. the cheating very well may start before the next election.... with establishment repubs openly saying that Trump will not be the nominee, he may fall victim to the Bernie treatment in the primaries.... |

The risk with DeSantis is that he could be indebted to the establishment. He cannot win without them. Trump is unique in that he is out to destroy them, an he certainly doesn’t need them. I like Ron. I just don't trust that he'll be able to stand up to the CCP or the big money Globalist establishment. The whole Trump v DeSantis story has the Commies salivating over dividing the GOP. The RINO establishment is thrilled as well. Paul RINO Ryan is on the board of Fox News. After all the off the charts gross injustice Trump and his family have endured and continue to endure, he deserves continued support. He’s walked through fire. He has his faults. But he fights for America. CCP, the minions of Davos and Soros and friends have zero control over him. DeSantis has fought the popular easy battles, the woke BS and illegal immigration. Trump took on Iran/Palestinian terror goons, China, Big Pharma, NATO, and Big Media like no one ever imagined. If they don’t already, the establishment will likely get their claws into DeSantis, as he cannot beat Trump without their money. Best thing he could do is come out in support of Trump. GOP has too many pussies. |

How about Trump running and gunning up to the convention, drawing fire and criticism all the way, ( it doesn't seem to rattle him). The media will do their utmost best to build up DeSantis as the better alternative against him. DeSantis, and others can continue their ground game. Then at the convention, Trump can bow out, and throw his support, (and all those loyal Trump campaign contributions), to the nominee. He gets to give one more finger to the media, and walks away with all the perks a former President is entitled, and he already has. The media would be beside themselves trying to do an about face on whomever the nominee would be. Trump can laugh all the way home. He can take credit for a win, and have deniability for a loss. Either way, his ego is satisfied. |

I'm with 'Scounger on this one. I truly do appreciate Trump and the fact that he did so many things to Make America Great Again however, I think his time has passed. I would certainly vote for him again but I think it would be a futile effort. As for DeStintis' battles, he hasn't yet fought on the international level because that has not yet been his job. He has however kicked some serious butt including Disney, Fauci, the open borders crowd and many others. I have no doubt that he could do the same on the national and international level. That is if he choses to run. G |
