So I picked up a 1998 S3T not to long ago and was wondering why it seemed the petcock was in a odd spot. Well to my surprise I saw this.

So safe to assume this was a FI tank? I have not had any issues with it and I know the reserve works.

There will still be a quart in the tank after reserve runs dry. The petcock needs to be at the lowest point, back between the rear head and the battery.
