My S1 is a tribute to what was the early streetfighter...a wrecked bike stripped to the minimum of street amenities and repaired to the point of just keeping it on the road. It's probably the roughest looking S1 you're likely to see, but it still rocks. It's been my fairly faithful ride for 3 years. Every now and then a pedestrian or driver will give me the thumbs up, or an over enthusiastic driver will attempt to challenge me. |

Rocket, The AC Cobra I observed with the tube trellis chassis was a contemporary Canadian built Aurora. I figured it was a replica, but apparently they've taken a license with chassis design. TVR's, even early units, are a little too aerodynamic for direct comparison to S1's imho, but I see yer point.... Me cousin who lives up the road from you was here in Canada back in July. Took the S1 for a short ride and it left a pretty big grin on his face. What are his chances of finding a tidy unit in Yorkshire? Lornce |

Lornce, a friend of mine was interested in buying a Cobra replica last year. I went to the national 'kit car' festival and saw about a hundred of them. Just about every Cobra replica imaginable represented, and some fine fine examples as you'd expect. Buying one, the right one. A minefield! As for buying an S1 in Yorkshire, well they've gotta be rare. I'd start with the dealers. Probably worth giving Eddys in Leeds a call first, but there are others. St Ledger HD in Doncaster is another. Try the usual, like MCN every week or their Bikemart mag. Autotrader is worthwhile too. They have a good online search facility worth checking out. That said, I reckon your best bet in finding the right S1 is to travel further afield than Yorkshire, then your cuz won't have a problem. Rocket |

Here is my buell Project....just love is This year I have ridden Ducati 900 supersport, Honda CB 900 Hornet, Yamaha FZR 1000 Fazer. And none of them comes close to my Buell, when it comes to handling and driving.

my guess is mecahanex (sp?) -- reverses the action of the rear suspension, allowing the use of a "normal" shock . . .. |

Lettere at traekke? Jeg boede på hjørnet af Dybbølsgade og Sønder Boulevard indtil jeg flyttede til NYC for små 12 år siden. Jeg sender en mail når jeg kommer til byen. Henrik |

HeY Henrik. Hillbilly Motors in germany ( Jens) sells the clutch. It´s a 15 min operation , it works well, and is a lot easier to ride with when you do a lot of city driving. It costs about 400Euro ( without the master) To Tripper, sorry for the Danish It will not happen again Jan U |

Beautiful bike. The shock, 5 spoke wheels and the Krüger & Junginger swing arm have to be the best upgrades I've seen on a Buell. Maybe I'll stretch to them one day!! |

Why did I wait so long to get an S1W?!?!?!? I can't say enough about how much I love this bike. Put on some new Metzler M1's yesterday, so it's was time for a road test. Yeeeehaaaa!!!! I found some of the tightest twisties I've seen in Wisconsin. Because I've never been on those roads (and I was on new tires), I didn't get to lean her too hard. But I still scrubbed some good rubber off the tires. All said and done....215 miles in about 4 hrs And that includes 1 gas stop and 2 food/drink stops. |

Why did I wait so long to get an S1W?!?!?!? Because it's been a long time since you listened to what us S1 owners have been telling you for years. Rocket |

Rocket....I actually had thought about the S1W as my first Buell in 1998. At that time, I was coming off a Ninja and wanted a bike with more tourability. The S1W really caught my eye but it didn't fit my requirements. I bought the S3T instead. It took me 5 years (almost $800/month in truck and bike payments) to finally get my S1W. Funny thing about the whole situation.....my S3T has become my secondary bike |

Lake, The S1 really likes those Sportecs doesn't it.... One drawback to them though, they do not like those pesky painted markings on the road. |
