Any knowledge on suspension setup for back and forth from single commuter to two up weekend cruiser. I'm 300lbs. and my wife is 140. I'm not worried about pushing it in corners. I do not know about the Uly one but all the OEM ones are pretty comfy. You my find the pre 08 tall seat better than the low Gel type. You will be able to get a used one cheap for sure.   Pontlee77 Posted on Monday, March 12, 2012 - 12:38 pm:        I have a Corbin, and it's nice and a bit thinner in the front, just the leather is slippery, right now i'm using the low 07 seat that has a lot more grip, and yes corbin seat is quite hard, but not uncofortable, you can always use a pair of cycling underwear that has the Badana in it in case the seat is not comfortable.   Motofan Posted on Monday, March 12, 2012 - 01:33 pm:        I'm not unhappy with the stock seat. I've put 700+ miles on the xt since I brought home last Wednesday just a little soreness after long ride. I've put maybe 500 miles total on in the last 5 years, and can probably figure it's just acclimation. I put Corbin seats on 3 previous bikes over the years, and was just curious for farkles sake. Lol. Thanks for the suspension advice. I cranked the preload before the 2 up ride last night. It pogo a bit. Maybe I put too much in.   Tootal Posted on Monday, March 12, 2012 - 06:31 pm:        If you have the owners manual you can look up the different weights and adjust accordingly. If it's pogoing then slow the dampening a couple of notches and see if that helps. I would learn the factory set-up for the different weights and start from there. Just do one adjustment at a time or you might not know what worked, or not!   Motofan Posted on Monday, March 12, 2012 - 07:01 pm:        I am waiting on the previous owner to mail the manual. He could not find it the day I picked up. I will need to order a service manual as well. I always do with anything I plan to keep any length of time, and I don't see this bike leaving the stable anytime soon.   Zac4mac Posted on Saturday, March 24, 2012 - 04:00 pm:        I have a Baldwin seat and an OEM, OEM is on the garage wall. It's got a gel pad and firm foam, it's very nice to ride. Corbins are made like horse and old bicycle saddles and are well shaped but hard. Suspension is factory for the lightest range they list. I'm 160 in full gear. I keep rear preload one turn in from min and increase to keep lights in the right spot, depending on load. Best "all around" bike I've owned.
