Hello everyone, I just wanted to share some photos with you guys. Over time I have completed a lot of mods on my 1125CR "Bertha" and it is because of your knowledge and awesome help that I have been able accomplish them. So I just wanted to say thank you and Merry Christmas. This photo is of the HID kit I put in and the stripe that I painted.
This is a photo of the toggle switch I installed for the Low beam for the HID. It works wonders.
This is when i took off the stock mirrors and put bar ends as well also with different levers.
This is a pic of the aux power supply and location
This is a pic of my FMF slip on. I also had to install a PCV and de-noided too.
I also installed an alarm system. This was by far one of the hardest things to do. I had to find out which wires went to what in order to install the "remote start" function. Didn't really work for some reason, couldn't really figure it out.
I installed an integrated light and the license plate.
I also managed to install a license plate LED lights to make it "more legal". We'll see how that goes.
Also if you guys are interested I have a Jardine fender eliminator for sale and some heated gloves. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/659779.html?1322341184
So Thank You BadWeb for all the help over the past year or so, it's been really appreciated. Just so you guys know, I'm still not done with the bike, I just want some mods but until then I am satisfied. |

Bike looks nice, but now you've started there's no stopping, you will continue this modding theme for all time (Message edited by Avalaugh on November 26, 2011) |

Hm. How much for the gloves, what brand/connector, and do you have the stock mirrors still? |

Ratbuell, The gloves are 90 obo and they are first gear gloves, Large. here is a link BadWeb classified. I have a 3ft extension for the gloves and the battery hook up. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/ 659779.html?1322341184 I don't have the mirrors (I don't think I do, I'll have to check) but I will let you know if I find them. |

Does the Jardine FE use the stock signals and license plate light? How do you like the bar end mirrors? I've always avoided them, partially due to the added bike width (something extra to worry about when lane splitting) and partially because I figure they would probably vibrate more than stock-located mirrors. |

thefleshrocket, Yes the jardine uses the stock signals, it doesn't have a license plate light, but it doesn't really need it because it sits right below the taillight and it's sufficient enough to light the license plate. As far as the bar end mirrors, they are really good, if you were ever to touch them against anything they just fold inward. But i like the way they look and they are actually pretty useful. |

Well dang, now people will be able to tell us apart better. Don't forget to look some of us CBR riders up on a nice warm day so we can find the gravel patches! |

fleshrocket, my bar ends don't vibrate at all and I bought the cheap ones. My stocks ones were useless over 75mph because of the vibration. I have the Jardine FE also, there is no specific bracket/place to hold the plate light. I just left mine dangling over the top of the plate, it doesn't move. |

Is your front brake line in its proper place? |

Good eye Danny - David, check w/ the shop and see if you are due the front brake-line recall. Looking at the pic of the front wheel, you should be. If not, re-route the brake line outside the fork or it may rub a hole in the line or the fork leg. Zack |

The brake line recall never applied to the CR, it didn't leave the factory looking like that. |

Incorrect. I'm 99% certain my CR had it done during PDI. I can't find the bulletin at the moment, but I'm pretty sure it was for any '09 with a ZTL2. Now IIRC, the bulletin was a "check and evaluate" bulletin and had three options - if the line was routed outside the fork leg, you applied the rhino tape and that was it. If it was routed inside the leg, you checked condition of line and tire. If both were OK, you applied tape and rerouted the line. If the line was damaged, you installed a new line with the tape, and rerouted. If the tire was damaged, you replaced, rerouted, taped, and replaced a tire. edit: I stand corrected. Campaign 0838, applied to 08 1125R, and 09 XB12Scg/XB12R. Doesn't change the fact the OP's line is incorrectly routed. |

When I had mine done, the brake line was fine but it had worn into the aluminum fork leg. Zack |
