Hi Everyone. I'm a new member of the fold. I bought a new 2009 1125R a couple of years ago at the fire sale, but for some personal reasons that I'd rather not go into, I haven't been able to start riding until this Fall. I'm happy to say that in spite of the cold and rainy weather that we've been having here in the Midwest, I've still been able to log 3,000 miles of hard S/T riding over the past month, and the 1125R is breaking in nicely. Wow! What a great bike! I've been riding for decades, and I've owned every kind of twin FXRs to Ducs to BMWs, and I'm convinced that this bike is by far the best bike I've ever owned. Just wanted to say hello to everyone and give myself an introduction. Bob |

"Sorry to see your stuck in the windy freezer." "Welcome to the cult." You know, this bike is definitely changing my riding behavior. There's something about this bike that draws me to ride it, even on those cold, windy and damp November days when I'd normally ride a different bike because it has heated grips. November weather in Chicago really does suck for riding. The hardest part for me on the 1125R is keeping the hands comfortable going 70+ on the country roads when the weather is in the 40s. At those speeds the wind chill starts to become significant. 30 minutes into the ride my Oly All-Season gloves just aren't cutting it, but this bike tells me to keep going and complete the entire 2.5 hour loop! When it gets this cold, I'd normally change bikes and ride one that has heated grips, but this bike is just so much more fun than the others. I really need to find some time to install those factory heated grips, but it's really hard to give up an afternoon in the saddle! Thanks for the welcome, everyone! |

Welcome brother Buell'er. My recovery time was not as long as yours but yes the purchase of an 1125 does come with the optional "BIGgEr BaLLs" operation. Mine was also a success and now I can ride to edge of my limits with fear!!! Rotflmao |

>> Windy Freezer It was warm yesterday, but the warm front moved in with 60 mph wind gusts! I got blown all over the road and almost had an unplanned lane change a couple of times. It was on of those white knuckle rides, where the crosswind is so strong that you're leaned way over just to go straight! |
